Video Clip - SUPERMAN / BATMAN: APOCALYPSE - First 10 Minutes

Here's a brand-new promo video that just hit the web & it features the first 10 minutes of the new DC Universe Animated Film, SUPERMAN / BATMAN: APOCALYPSE. It mainly covers the basic origin of Supergirl landing on Earth & we also get a good look at Batman and Superman. Oh man, this movie looks really great so far, check it out!

Here's a special "First Look" video featuring information on the next DC Universe Animated Film titled SUPERMAN/BATMAN: APOCALYPSE. It's main focus seems to be the Supergirl character but it's also great to see all the talent working on this feature. You have Kevin Conroy back as the voice of Batman. We get Tim Daly as Superman. Plus, something that's pretty cool, is Kara's voice ( Supergirl ) will be done by Summer Glau. I really loved her in Joss Whedon's TV series, FIREFLY so this will be pretty cool.

POLLY POCKET - Dressed For Justice - DC Comics 75

To sort of continue the "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" event Mattel has released a special boxed set of POLLY POCKET Figures called "Dressed For Justice!". You get 3 dolls of the main Polly Pocket characters dressed-up in Supergirl, Wonder Woman, & Batgirl costume! Personally, I really like the one of Batgirl, very cute, & the packaging is pretty cool too the way the box-lid slides open to reveal the figures inside. That's a neat design concept. This toy will hit stores soon & the retail price will be around $20.00, keep an eye out. ( I know that little girls are gonna go totally crazy for these! )

Video: Super Friends at the Water Park Show!

Back in 1979 some tourist shot this video so that, in the future, we could see it! This is the SUPER FRIENDS event at the Cypress Gardens Water Amusement Park. Performers dressed up as Batman, Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Mr. Freeze, The Joker, The Penguin, etc. all get totally crazy. Finding video, or even any information, about this event is really difficult. Plus, I don't think there is any audio in this video. That, or my speakers are broken, ha ha! But really I think the best part of the video is seeing the cool Bat-Boat! If you saw this event as a child then this video will bring back some great memories of a fun summer vacation!

ELSEWORLD'S FINEST: BATGIRL - DC Direct Action Figure

This photo is of an extremely cool Batgirl Action Figure owned by a Bat-Blog Reader named Neville. In his e-mail he sort of explained that he just recently got it & it's a favorite figure of his. Well, I gotta agree. It is pretty awesome! Now to clarify, this figure is made by DC Direct & it's a character from the ELSEWORLD'S FINEST Graphic Novel by DC Comics. Now you might be saying to yourself that this doesn't quite look like the Batgirl you know & love. OK, the thing with the "Elseworlds Series" is that they do a lot of "what if..." stories that don't really exist in continuity with the regular line of comic books. For example with this story both Batman & Superman never existed. Well, Superman sort of did but died right after leaving Krypton & arriving in Earth. This story's main focus is with this new set of Supergirl & Batgirl characters. To be honest I have not read this book yet so I can't quite say if it's any good or not. But I'm assuming it was pretty decent because they made a few action figures of it. Thanks to Neville for sending the cool pic, that's really great!

There's Superman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Green Arrow, Krypto, Hawkman, etc.. There are also some cool villians like the Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, Lex Luthor, Mr. Freeze, etc..This photo was sent in by our great friend Ramiro, who lives in Argentina....Thanks Ramiro!
