In this brand-new trailer for the BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game the company that made it ( Eidos ) basically wants to spread some good propaganda about their PhysX graphics system by NVIDIA. The Batmobile has been spotted in Pennsylvania...at a TOYS R US in Cheltenham, PA to be exact! A friend to the Bat-Blog, named Michael, just recently saw this BATMAN FOREVER MOVIE Vending Machine Toy Ride-On Batmobile & had to send some pics to us. I like how it looks sort of "cartoony" ( I just invented that word ). Plus, it's always fun to see one of these things. Now I know a lot of people totally hate this film but I actually kinda like that it is so bad. Now obviously I would have prefered for the film to be good, or even great, but since it's not we might as well accept it. "Don't cry over spilled milk", my Grandmother used to say. I wanna thank Michael for taking the pictures for us, I really appreciate that, it's a very cool car!
For the Batman Wallpaper graphics this week I thought I would go with a retro theme! The 1st one is a new image drawn by a famous comic book artist named Darwyn Cooke. It's the classic 1966 Batmobile car (with Batman and Robin) done in a clean, yet simple, black & white style that I really like & hope you enjoy. The next one is an iconic image from the 1970's. It's a picture of The Dynamic Duo by Neal Adams & Dick Giordano. OK Kids, always remember: Be sure to visit the Bat-Blog every single week for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"!
Here's a pretty cool video I came across & I can't help but think this is our old friend Martin from the UK. He was really into collecting Custom Dolls & Action Figures, especially ones that were related to the 1966 Batman TV Series. Hmmm, I need to contact him & see. Either way this video is very interesting. In it this toy collector showcases his collection of Custom Toys that were made to resemble 4 Bat-Villians who were known as THE UNITED UNDERWORLD in the BATMAN feature film of 1966. The evil group included The Riddler ( Frank Gorshin ), Catwoman ( Lee Merriwether ), The Penguin ( Burgess Meredith ), & The Joker ( Cesar Romero )! Now, before you freak-out & start asking, "where do I buy these?", ha ha. These Mego Dolls are all custom made, even the display boxes. But you have to admit they're all extremely well-done. The head sculpts of each character look almost exactly like the real-life actors. The costumes are very accurate too & the display boxes are just a total bonus! Martin, if these are yours please contact me.
