In fact, if you're a Vintage Toy Collector you'll probably notice the "Batmobile" image is the Kenner Superpowers Action Figure Vehicle. Yes, this clip art is from the 1980's. One glass says, "Wanna Come To My Bat Cave?", & the other one is "Chicks Dig The Ride!", ha ha! I really like these & someday, they will be MINE! This is going to fit into "Weird & Wacky Bat-News" but it's kinda fun so follow me here. A friend of the Bat-Blog, named Travis, was channel surfing the other day & couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a guy on TV dressed as a beaten and bloodied Robin/Jason Todd! But he managed to sneak a screen shot so check out the pic! Yes! That's Jason Todd, AFTER being beaten by The Joker with a Crowbar!! Good eye Travis. Forbes Magazine, the leading source in news on Capitalism, has just released their "Fictional 15" List. Every year they rank the top 15 richest fictional characters. For a magazine that's known as "extremely serious" this Fic15 is very tongue in cheek and just a lot of fun! It usually includes people like Uncle Scrooge, Jed Clampett, Richie Rich, Mr. Monopoly, Tony Stark ( Iron Man ), Montgomery Burns ( The Simpsons ), etc... Well, Bruce Wayne ( The Dark Knight ) was # 8 on the list, ha! For more info, click HERE!
This photo from Adam West shows what his new dog has been busy doing lately, ha! "Holy Paper Shredder, Batman!"
In this hilarious video by "Barely Political" we get to see Batman as he gets his Batmobile ride pimped by "Improve My Automobile!".
Shown here is a video clip of "Batman in Japan" Stand Up Comedy at The Pink Cow, Tokyo, Japan, March 5th, 2011.
I have really been thinking about Japan the last few days & worrying a lot. Since childhood I have always loved that special place & I have always wanted to go there. Seeing all the news footage on CNN lately has been sort of heart breaking. But it is very impressive how well the Japanese are handling everything. I know they have been hit hard & hopefully things will get better soon. In the mean time they do need some help. Food & clean water is getting hard to find right now. So, if any other Bat-Blog Fans out there can, please donate to the American Red Cross. Every little bit helps. Here's a link to their Official website, just visit http://www.redcross.org
Here's a totally great piece of animation. In fact, it's genius! It's a parody of the opening credits sequence from the 1966 BATMAN TV Show, except all the characters have been replaced with Actors from THE DARK KNIGHT movie: Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Heath Ledger, Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart, etc... it even has the Tumbler-Style Batmobile at the end, replacing the 1966 Car!
