Mattel just recently released the "prototype blueprints" for the soon-to-be-released 1966 BAT-BOAT WITH TRAILER. Now of course they will also be releasing about 12 new 1:50 Scale Batman Batmobile Cars too, including the boat. One of them will be a re-release of the 1966 Batmobile but it will have a special trailer hitch on the back to haul the Batboat. Personally, I can't wait because these are just really great collectibles! ( Click the above image for a larger photo ).

It's just been announced but Mattel will be making a special 1:50 Scale Hot Wheels 1966 BAT-BOAT with Trailer! They are also gonna release another 1/50th Scale 1966 Batmobile Car that has a trailer hitch to hook it up to since the previous one didn't have one ( Yes, they're tricking us into buy ANOTHER Batmobile, ha ha! ). The boat looks amazing & the details will probably be a little better since this photo is a prototype. It's suppose to be released sometime in January 2009, which is just a few months away. Be sure to stay tuned with the Bat-Blog because we'll be featuring more news in the future on this very cool collectible...I can't wait!
OK, in the new wave of 1:50 Scale Batmobile Hot Wheels Cars by Mattel I still need to find the "Comic Book" version & this one, the Dark Knight Tumbler! These are really great & the fact that they're only around 6 or 7 dollars is awesome! The detailing is really sharp & even the packaging is cool. I like that they all have Batman logos that are correct for each vehicle. Now, if you don't wanna spend a lot of gas money trying to hunt them down then I suggest Amazon. They have great service. But you might wait awhile until the "scalpers" are done ripping people off ( selling them for $29, shame, shame! ) & get them for about $7.00. I'm still gonna try to find them at the store because I love "the hunt" but if I don't find them soon I'll just order me a set. Here's a link:
Here's a prototype photo showing the NEW Hot Wheels Batman Bat-Cycle ( Large, 1:50 Scale ) that will be released by Mattel later this year. Of course this is the Classic Bat-Bike motorcycle with sidecar used by Adam West & Burt Ward in the vintage 1966 Batman TV Show. Oh my God, it's beautiful! Remember, in the TV series, the side-car would come off by itself so Robin could go in another direction as a go-kart-like ride. The great thing about this being issued is that it's a bat-vehicle you don't see that often. I mean, the only toy of this that comes to mind is the vintage 60's model kit by Aurora & then later a more recent version by Polar Lights. Which, by the way, are some very cool model kits I can highly recommend. Let's all hope that later they do the Bat-Copter, the Customized Bell Helicopter from the 1966 movie, that would be very cool! Remember, Stay tuned with the Bat-Blog & later we'll have an official release late.
Here's some advance pictures of the NEW 1:50 Scale Batman Hot Wheels Batmobile Cars to released by Mattel. No exact date yet but we'll keep you informed. These photos are really torturing me because I'm gonna have to have them all! They're doing the 1966 George Barris Batman TV Show Batmobile ( Oh My God! ), the Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series ( This is actually one of my favorite versions, I seriously love that cartoon series ), the Tumbler from both of the Batman Begins & The Dark Knight movies ( very detailed & sweet! ), & a generic Batmobile with a groovy retro look! The 1/50th Scale is approx. 4" long so they will be a tiny bit larger than the Batmobiles released by Corgi recently which were 1:43 scale. The pictures are from the Official Hot Wheels Collectors site by Mattel. Here's a link button to join that club.
