Over at the "Golden Age Comic Book Stories" Website a Blogger scanned a few 1940's BATMAN SUNDAYS from the New York Sunday Mirror Tab Sections. They're all from 1946. The Artwork is by Jack Burnley, among others. They are all a total joy to read & the vintage graphics are completely beautiful. I've attached one as an example ( Click on it for a larger, more readable, version ), but to see them ALL just click HERE!
Awhile back, at the CTRL+ALT_DEL webcomic website, they did a totally hilarious parody of Batman. It looks like he finally had an "accident" with his batarang, ha ha! Be sure to click on it for a larger version, check it out!

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, whew! OK, here are 2 extremely funny Batman-related comic strips submitted by a couple of awesome Bat-Blog Fans. They know who they are & I wanna tell them, "Thanks guys, these humor comics are hilarious!!". Readers, be sure to click on them for larger, more readable, versions.
A friend over at Facebook sent me this funny B.C comic strip that appeared in newspaper recently & I knew I had to share it, it's pretty funny! ( Thanks Christopher )
Check out this totally hilarious comic strip that features Batman & Batgirl in a funny situation. It's from MOTHER GOOSE & GRIMM by Mike Peters. OK, I gotta say this. I bet that Mike Peters must be a HUGE Batman Fan because he seems to do a Caped Crusader-themed comic strip every now & then. I've always enjoyed his humor & think his graphic style is great! If you would like to view more of his funny stuff then just click HERE!
Here's a funny comic strip found by an awesome Bat-Blog Fan. It shows Batman & Robin in the Batcave, ha ha!
A Bat-Blog Fan named Brian sent us this totally hilarious newspaper comic strip last night. It's 2 characters from FOXTROT engaged in a deep philosophical conversation. You might have to click on it to read it, but it's pretty funny! ( Thanks Brian, You ROCK, Sir! )
Shown here is a Batman & Joker comic strip found at a web comic page called AMAZING SUPERPOWERS ( Click on it for a larger, more readable, version ). Our friend Eben sent it to us & it's pretty funny! In fact, when I went there to check it out I ended-up spending about 20-30 minutes just reading all the ones stored in the archives, ha ha! Thanks for sending the link Eben. Hey, if anybody else wants to check it out then just click HERE!
Here's an amazing piece of Bat-History! This is an Original Newspaper Press Sheet showing the BATMAN AND ROBIN Daily Comic Strips for the week of May 15th through the 20th, 1944. It was test-printed by the McClure Newspaper Syndicate ( Be sure to click on the above photo for a way larger, more readable, version ). Now, for people interesting in reading these today then be sure to check out this book published by Kitchen Sink Press reprinting all the Dailies from 1943-1946. They also made a separate book covering all the Sunday Strips.
This comic strip is pretty funny! It shows a Lighthouse Attendant trying to get away with creating a Bat-Signal, Ha Ha! Our friend Christopher sent this in ( Thanks Chris! ) & the comic strip is done by 2 guys named Guy & Rodd. They have a website called "Brevity" where you can read many of their current comic strips. I really like the style of their artwork, very simple & clean. If you wanna see more then just click HERE!
One of my favorite web comics online is PVP ( which stands for "Player vs Player" ). It's a comic strip about an office full of characters who are all total comic book & gaming geeks. In fact, they all work at a magazine for video game news. Recently the creator of the strip, Scott Kurtz, made total fun of BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM ( Click on the small graphic up above for a larger, more readable, version ). It hilarious! Now if you would like to read more of their wacky adventures then just be sure to CLICK HERE!
OK, Regular Readers of the Bat-Blog might remember a post done in the past where we were trying to find out about a "Batman character" named Galexo. The short version of a long story is that there was once a syndicated Batman comic strip in the 1960's & 1970's but toward the end of it's run the company lost the rights to represent Batman but actually kept the thing going for a little while with a fake superhero named Galexo...yeah, crazy! The other weird thing is that they kept drawing Bruce Wayne & Dick Grayson, ha ha! But the deal is that these last few strips only ran in a very small amount of Newspapers & finding out what this character even looked like has been a goal of many Batman Historians. Well, my buddy Steve over at the BOOKSTEVE'S LIBRARY Blog finally found him!! He received an e-mail from a guy named Todd who runs the Barnacle Press ( a blog dedicated to vintage comic strip history ). Todd has an amazing archive of many "lost strips" & was able to find one with Galexo! So, Congrats Steve! WOW! GALEXO has been found!! For further information be sure to visit Steve's post located at this HERE!
I wanna thank Jimmy for sending us this photo. It's a scan of an old 60's newspaper comic strip ( Be sure to click on the small graphic up above for a larger, more readable, version ). Of course we all know Mort Walker's Beetle Bailey. I have always loved his artwork & special graphic style. Anyway, I guess that the Batman TV Show was such a hit that in 1966 Mort Walker did a parody of it in his work. The comic strip starts out with Sergeant Snorkel sleeping & having a dream that he & Beetle Bailey are "FATMAN AND SLOBBER!" Ha Ha, Great stuff! Thanks again Jimmy..."To The Fatmobile!"
