THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie News - The Batsignal Seen in Pittsburgh!

To celebrate the fact that the next Batman Movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, will be filmed for one month in Pittsburgh the city hired "Lightwave International" to create a BAT-SIGNAL to welcome the Director, Actors, & Film Crew. The BAT-LOGO shined on the famous Highmark Building & was actually done with High-Powered Lasers! Be sure to click on the photo below for a larger, more detailed, version... it's freakin' AWESOME!!

John's BATMAN LOGO Coffee Table - Custom Art Furniture

OK, I'm officially jealous, very JEALOUS! This photo comes from a friend on Facebook who recently got this extremely cool Custom Art BATMAN Coffee Table! His name is John & he just received this Masterpiece of Art from a friend named Dave. John says that Dave made this out of totally recycled parts, basically, materials he found. It's an oval-shaped table with a BATMAN LOGO Bat-Symbol shape carved out of the top's center. It looks like John has installed a focused spotlight up above that casts a shadow on the floor of a BAT under the piece of furniture. Yes, it's also a bat-signal!!! ( Thanks John for sharing this groovy pic, this is a totally GREAT piece. Also, please share with Dave that we think he's a True Artist ).

Batman GOTHAM CITY With Bat-Signal Birthday Cake

A Bat-Blog Fan named Jackie sent us this wonderful photo of a Batman Birthday Cake that her, her Husband and Mother created. Jackie's Mom runs a small side-business where she makes birthday cakes for people. One day she got a client who wanted a Batman-themed treat. So, they decided to make one featuring GOTHAM CITY WITH A LARGE BAT-SIGNAL. The completed cake is shown here & it turned out really great! It was for a little boy's 5th birthday & I know he will probably never forget it...it's very VERY cool! ( Thanks to Jackie for sending this fun pic ).

Jennifer's Cool CUSTOM BATMOBILE Car!

Awhile back I got a message from a Bat-Blog Fan named Jennifer and she was pretty excited about sharing some photos of her brand-new Custom Batmobile! The problem was that it was snowing really bad where she lived & she had to wait to take some pics. Well, the photos are here & it was worth the wait! With a little help from her Dad, they totally pimped her ride into a beautiful Batman Car! She now has large Bat-Logo Symbols on her Hood, Both Doors, & Back Window. She even has a Batman Steering Wheel Cover & Floor Mats... Now, how cool is that?!! I wanna thank Jennifer for sharing these cool pics. If any other Bat-Blog Readers out there have some fun stuff to share then please do.

Aaron's BATMAN AND JOKER TATTOO ART Photos

Hey Boys & Girls, it's time again for another awesome example of Batman Tattoo Art! This photo was submitted by our good friend Aaron. It shows an all-around design that features Batman, Joker, & the Bat-Signal in the Sky of Gotham City...it's beautiful! The Joker is the "Heath Ledger" version from The Dark Knight movie. I really like the colors in this thing, very vivid. Plus, the Bat-Signal sort of has a translucent effect that makes it look less solid & more like "light"...nice! Thanks Aaron for sharing this wonderful Bat-Tat. I know that everyone is going to really love it!

REMEMBER:

If any other Bat-Blog Fans get any ink done, then please send a photo!

Dallas' Custom BATMAN - THE DARK KNIGHT Kotobukia Bat-Signal Lamp

Here's a couple of craft project photos from our buddy named Dallas. He created this Custom Light-Up Bat-Signal by converting a Kotobukia Statue of Batman perched on top of the Bat-Signal. Of course, it's the version from "THE DARK KNIGHT" movie. Basically he took the Bat-Signal piece & retrofit a light inside it. He also added a different lens cover ( I think ) so that light would shine through it. overall, Dallas did an amazing job on this new piece because it now looks extremely cool! OK, I have seen a few other people do this & it makes me wonder, "Why didn't Kotobukia do this in the 1st place? I mean, it seems so obvious". I'm sure it had something to do with production cost. Plus, they make art statues & they're NOT in the lamp business. Anyways, I didn't mean to loose track here. Plus, I also wanna thank Dallas for sharing his photos. If any other Bat-Blog Readers have any Bat-Craft Projects going on then please let us know. We always love to hear from creative people.

BAT-LAMP Homemade Bat-Signal Light

Over at the THINGIVERSE website an inventor gadget-guy named "Wizard23" has created a pretty cool Batman BAT-LAMP! It's small & compact. Plus, it shoots a Bat-Signal on the wall. It's really cool & at the website there are very detailed plans on how you can make your own. So, get busy! Go get the materials, read the website, & make one. In fact, while you're at it, please make me one too because I am not that talented & if I made one it would probably not work, ha ha! For more detailed plans, click HERE!

Ernest's Custom BATMAN Bat-Signal TRUCK LIGHTS!

OK, you might remember some photos the other day of Ernest's Batman Toy Collection. He has some really great stuff but 1 item made me sort of curious & I asked him about those. They were these "Custom Bat-Signal Light Covers". I wondered what they actually look like ON his truck & he was generous enough to take the time to shoot these very cool pics! Thanks Ernest. These Batman Light Covers are a very clever idea! I mean, some Car Accessory Company should totally make these! They look pretty cool during the day but when they are lit-up at night they're really great! The bat-shapes hold-up very well & I have to wonder if they project a bat-signal on to another surface, that's funny! I know the "night time" photo must have been hard to get but it turned out great, thanks! Readers, he even shot some pics of the trucks interior where he has Batman Floor Mats, Batman Steering Wheel Cover, & a Bat-Symbol Keychain hanging from his rear-view mirror. These are all items you can find at your local Auto Parts Stores ( I have some floor mats that are sort of like these, just a little different. I like the ones that Ernest has a lot better! ).

Video: Halloween BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Theme Display 2009

Look at how I decorated for Halloween this year! The neighborhood kids really loved it. No, it's not mine, just kidding, ha ha! This is the work of an extremely creative guy named Jerjod. It took him a whole year to construct all this stuff for his 2009 Halloween Batman Display. In the driveway is a Tumbler Batmobile Replica Car he made. He also made a Life-Size Mechanical Manikin of Batman in costume that moved around. There were Battery Controlled "Wing-Flapping Bats" that hung from the trees & he even had a HUGE Bat-Symbol light shining on his house that took up the entire garage-area section!! WOW! Extremely impressive!! If you wanna learn how he built all this stuff, & try to do it yourself, then be sure to visit the INSTRUCTABLES website by clicking HERE!

THE DARK KNIGHT New Batman Movie Merchandise

While surfing the internet recently I came across a new company that is kind of progressive & making a few very interesting pieces of Batman-Memorabilia. Actually, they are electronic products that are a tie-in to the DARK KNIGHT movie. The first, & most interesting, item is a Batman AM/FM Clock Radio. It has a projector on the side that you can adjust at different angles & it shoots a "Batman Logo" Bat-Signal on the ceiling or wall. The front, with the neat knobs, has an almost art deco 1930's design but the shape of the case & the digital numbers kinda looks 1970's...a weird hybrid of design but very cool! The next item is a stylish Batman Ghetto Blaster Radio. It looks like it also plays CDs, that's nice. The last item is a Batman Clip-On Digital Camera. There are 2 different styles. One with the TDK Bat-Logo ( shown here ) & another with the graphic of Batman ( not shown ). These electronic products are made by a company called Digital Blue. If you're interesting in all the specs for these devices I have included a link button down below:

Make Your Own BATMAN BAT-SIGNAL USB SPOTLIGHT

Recently, at the Instructables Website, they did a feature story on "How To Build Your Very Own USB Batman Batsignal Spotlight". Oh man, it's seriously cool!! ( In a geeky super-computer-nerd kinda way, ha ha! ). The story shows very detailed instructions on how to assemble this light from scratch. You'll need to hit the PC store for a few electronics but they're very common & easy to get. Basically, after making this thing, you can hook it up to your USB port ( for electricity ) & shine the bat-symbol on the wall. As a side note I wanna ask any Bat-Blog readers who end up making one of these to send us some photos, that would be fun! Here's a link to check it out:
