Here's a very well-made video featuring our friend Yuji Ueda. He's a big Batman Toy Collector & his main focus is the Japanese items from the 1960's. In fact, the video is sort of a tour of famous Vintage Toy Shops in Japan ( Yes, that would be my dream vacation, ha! ). But, as you'll see from this interview, he also likes the modern day stuff as well. OK, get ready to drool!
"In Gotham City's war on crime, the worst criminal offenders are pursued by the Detectives of the Major Crimes Unit, with the aid of a Masked Vigilante known as 'The Batman'. These are their stories..."OK, This LAW & ORDER: GOTHAM CITY Video is both funny & very well done. It was made by our friend Pat who loves to make mash-ups. Thanks for sending this Pat!
Here's an interesting video shot at New York Comic Con of an almost 1-hour speech by Michael Uslan, the Producer of the Batman Movies. This is part one ( 10 minutes ) & there are 5 total, that you can enjoy at YouTube. Basically, he shares his stories about being a HUGE Comic Book Fan & going to early Comic Book Conventions. In fact, he went to the VERY FIRST Comic Con in NYC back in the 1960's. Now the reason I'm posting this video is because he talks about Batman, a lot!
Here's a JOKER FAN-FILM made by a few friends with probably no budget at all. But over all it's put together really well. The basic story is the Joker giving a message to Batman. Also, It's obviously the "Heath Ledger" version from "The Dark Knight" movie. The make-up & acting is pretty decent, check it out!

A friend of mine sent me a link the other day to website for an amazing Graphic Artist named Mark Fredrickson. His artwork is extremely cool & I've known about his work for a long time but never knew his name, ha! You see, he created a few of the covers for MAD Magazine when they have done a parody of the Batman films. You might remember seeing the image shown here of Alfred E. Neuman as The Joker ( Heath Ledger version ). Mark also did a lot of the Stock Art ( or Style Guide Art ) used to promote THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Franchise. His images were placed in magazines, advertising, & other media packaging. Anyways, it's all good stuff & if you would like to see more of his work then just click HERE!

OK, Every week we post a few FREE Brand-New BATMAN WALLPAPERS here at the Bat-Blog, it's called "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! This week I was really struggling with what to post. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw how these 2 random backgrounds totally mirrored each other. OK, I know it's dumb, ha ha! but look at the size & angle of the Bat-Symbol in each of these pictures... they're almost the same! Now, the 1st one is a photo sent in by a Batman Fan who, one day, cooked a Bat-Biscuit! Hey, you gotta admit it looks pretty neat & is very creative. He did a great job on it! Now, the next wallpaper background is a CGI-rendered image of a young Bruce Wayne in the alleyway with his murdered parents. The looming shadow of the BAT symbolizes his future. Anyways, we hope you enjoy these. Please be sure to come back next week and we promise we won't be so weird, ha!

Here at the Bat-Blog we always love when Bat-Fans send us fun pics to share. Like these, from our friend Ruben, which show his rising Batman Toy Collection. There's some really cool stuff here & I like how it's displayed too. Ruben's main focus seems to be Action Figures or other figural-type items but we can also see some Hot Wheels Cars & other items too. Now, I know a lot of people are gonna ask, "Hey, What's that HUGE Batman Figure in the corner of that 1st pic?" Well, don't go searching in retail stores just yet, ha! That's a Life-Size BATMAN Statue that Ruben made awhile back. In fact, a few months ago we featured it here at the Bat-Blog, for more pics click HERE! One last thing before I complete this post, I wanna thank Ruben for sharing all of these wonderful photos, this is some cool stuff, thanks!

OK, I know that coverage on THE DARK KNIGHT Batman movie is sort of "old news" now but there are still a ton of people who are HUGE Fans of this film. I know that, personally, I have a kind of "love & hate" feeling about it. I love the movie because it's totally great & was a lot of fun. On the other hand, as a "Batman News Reporter", I had to cover the thing night & day for many months before it even came out. I sort of got totally burned-out on it before it hit the Movie Theater & I remember that when I went to go enjoy the movie I had to sort of shake off all the information I had acquired about it. But, thank God, it was an AWESOME movie! Now, since some time has gone by I'd like to share these TDK Wallpapers that are pretty cool! The 1st one is Heath Ledger, as The JOKER, driving the School Bus right after the Bank Robbery...a great image & awesome background! The next one is sort of a PROMO portrait of Batman, Two-Face, & The Joker. These were done by a Digital Artist named "Messenjah Matt". He took a ton of photographic images from the movie & then digitized them into graphics that made awesome backgrounds. If you like these 2 examples, then please be sure to visit his website where there are many many more, just click HERE!
One of the coolest things about the last Batman film, The Dark Knight, was the amazing BAT-POD Motorcycle. This thing was totally custom & very well designed. I mean, it was CRAZY! Shown here are 2 Videos that are sort of like mini-documentaries. They both cover information about the vehicle movie prop in high detail & are also very entertaining to watch, enjoy.
Here's a totally hilarious fan-made video titled "The Rainbow Knight". It borrows the audio from The Dark Knight Batman Movie Trailer & the visuals are clips taken from the My Little Pony cartoon. The editing is really decent....and funny!
Check out this Educational "Batman History" Video created by WATCHMOJO. It covers the evolution of the Batmobile Car in the Comic Books, TV Shows, and Movies.
Here's a quick little tip for all you Serious BATMAN Collectors out there! More than half of all Blockbuster Video stores are shutting down in late April (Yes! ) and they're blowing out all their DVD's and video games. But, most of these retail locations are ALSO selling their DVD Movie Shelf Cards for all their titles for only a NICKEL a piece!! (20/$1.00) These awesome shelf cards are made of durable plastic ( or laminated cardboard ) and they look really cool for display! Thanks to Bat-Dave for the 'heads up'!

In recent BATMAN NEWS, Essex County of New Jersey "employs" The Dark Knight to teach local kids about the dangers of drugs and crime. "Batman" was last seen marching in the West Orange St. Patrick's Day Parade this past Sunday, showing support for a Junior Police Cadet Program in Newark. Very cool!
Here's a totally great piece of animation. In fact, it's genius! It's a parody of the opening credits sequence from the 1966 BATMAN TV Show, except all the characters have been replaced with Actors from THE DARK KNIGHT movie: Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Heath Ledger, Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart, etc... it even has the Tumbler-Style Batmobile at the end, replacing the 1966 Car!
Batman, the Dark Knight & Caped Crusader, was recently spotted in Hoboken, New Jersey! Man, check out that super-cool Bat-Cycle, ha!
