Vintage BATMAN MEMORABILIA From Around The Globe!

OK, it's no secret how I am totally goo-goo over Vintage Batman memorabilia & some of the best items, or at least the hardest ones to find, are from countries outside the United States. Check these out!! The 1st RARE item shown here is a 1966 BATMAN School Writing Tablet from Holland. Yes, it's Dutch! I totally love the graphics on the cover, great stuff! The 2nd pic is a newer item ( 1980's ) & comes all the way from Japan! The Japanese are known for their love of the Caped Crusader so it's no big surprise that they marketed a few pieces of merchandise to capitalize on the 1989 Batman movie craze. This is a Store Display offering Batman Keychains....how cool is that?! The last item is kind of weird but I totally love it. It's a Batman and Robin Candy Box from 1997! This was made in England, or the UK. On the back of each box were some Character Trading Cards you could collect. This one features Mr. Freeze. Super-Rare BATMAN Memorabilia From The BATFAN Collection

Our buddy, THE BATFAN, sent us some cool photos the other day of a few rare bat-items from his personal collection. The 1st pic shows a funny BATMAN COOKING APRON that was made around the time of the 1989 Batman movie. I like that it's the "Comic Book" version with the blue/gray/yellow bat-suit. The funny thing about it is that they made a mask to go with it! I actually remember this thing when it was out. I now wish I would have bought one, it's pretty cool! The next group of items are really great too. They're a Set of Batman & Robin Drinking Glasses that were made around 1967!! What makes them extremely hard to find here in the US is that they're from the Netherlands. Yes, all the way from Holland!! I totally love the retro-style graphics, very beautiful! Vintage 1960's Batman Promo Poster From Europe!

Our good friend Hans, who lives in The Netherlands, sent us this beautiful photo of an extremely RARE piece of Vintage 60's Batman Memorabilia! He wrote, " this is my latest find, a Dutch Batman & Robin Promo Poster ©1967. This was a special mail-in order poster from a Dutch grocery store called Albert Heijn. If one did your shopping there you could save up for this poster." WOW! Thanks Han, this is truly super-rare & I seriously LOVE the vintage artwork! In fact, I went ahead & used your photo to make a Desktop Wallpaper ( down below ) that you, and Bat-Blog Readers, can enjoy. Video: Fan-Made Film ( Dubbed Dutch Language ) Batman Beyond: The Return of The Joker

Here's a recently found video that I thought was pretty interesting. Some fans took a clip from a Batman Animated Cartoon & added their own voices, in Dutch! Even though I can't understand what they're saying you can still get that they did a good job with the inflictions, timing, & "sound" of the characters. Check it out, it's kinda neat.
