Ryan's BATMAN-INSPIRED TATTOO ART Photos

Long time Fans of the Bat-Blog know we like to feature photos of amazing BATMAN TATTOO ART every now & then. It's always interesting to see what people choose to get inked and, as an art form, it's usually pretty cool. So, here we go! here's some great pics sent in to us by a friend named Ryan. As you can see he has had many different characters done. Most of them are in "The Animated Series" TV Cartoon Style. There's The Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Batman, & a few more. He even got a 70's style Bat-Logo on the top of his hand. Cool! ( Thanks for sharing these Ryan, they're great & sorry it took so long to get them posted ).

HARLEY QUINN & BAT-MITE BATMAN BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Every Wednesday, here at the BAT-BLOG.COM, we have what we call "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday". This week we thought we would post some extremely BATMAN Backgrounds that are extremely WACKY! The 1st one features a great photo of some cute girl wearing a HARLEY QUINN Costume. It's a cosplay photo from the last Philadelphia Comic Con. Yes, she looks kinda crazy, ha ha! The 2nd Wallpaper is a photo of a BAT-MITE Pinback Button that was a promotional item from DC Comics. It's not as wacky as the 1st one but he is a crazy character, so, enjoy.

BATMAN CHARACTER COSPLAY - Supanova Expo in Sydney, Australia ( June 2011 )

This is a quick post to share some extremely fun photos sent in to us by a Bat-Blog Fan who was lucky enough to go to the Supanova Expo in Sydney, Australia this month. He took some nice pics & it looks like everybody had a good time. Hey, just check out these great costumes! Check out these 2 Fun JOKER & HARLEY QUINN Photos: The 1st one was sent to us by a new friend named Patricio who lives in Chile. He recently bought a "foreign copy" of the famous Joker Graphic Novel, "Batman: The Killing Joke". Well, it's not foreign to him, just us comic book collectors in the USA, ha! The neat thing is that in Chile it's titled, "La Broma Asesina". Oh yeah, now how cool is that?! That's awesome!

The next photo is absolutely incredible. This is a BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Birthday Cake of HARLEY QUINN created by a company called "Mike's Amazing Cakes". The details are insane & it's complete crazy to think that it can all be eaten! I mean, it's an ART Masterpiece. I couldn't eat it, ha!

It's pretty cool when creative people are inspired by BATMAN SO here's a few examples. The 1st pic is a totally Custom-Made MY LITTLE PONY Figure made to look like Harley Quinn and the Artist did a really great job on it! BATMAN WALLPAPERS - Comic Book Graphics & BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour

Hey Kiddos! It's Wednesday so you know what time it is... "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"!! We have some great stuff this week so let's get to it. The 1st one is a Batman background with a simple color palette. Basically, it's comic book style graphics ( line art ) in 2 shades of blue, Nice! This was submitted by our friend Galen, who, I think colored it. Either way it's pretty awesome! The next wallpaper is a publicity photo for the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour. There hasn't been much news or hype about this UK event lately so I thought this image would be fun!

I can't remember how I came across the ART of Mark Dos Santos website but I'm glad I did! His artwork is pretty cool & as an example look at this parody of an old "Saturday Evening Post" Magazine Cover featuring The Joker & Harley Quinn. It's titled "The Gotham Evening Post", hilarious! BATMAN LIVE - COSTUMES and STAGE DESIGN - Wallpaper Backgrounds

We're excited! The Bat-Blog just got some awesome new photos showing the costumes and set design for the UK stage show of BATMAN LIVE WORLD ARENA TOUR!! They were very large pics so I decided to offer them as super-fun BATMAN LIVE WALLPAPERS you can use to brighten your desktop's background. All the photos are pretty much self-explanatory! The 1st one shows the costumes for some of the characters: The Joker, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Batman, Robin, Riddler, The Penguin, & Poison Ivy. The next wallpaper features just Batman and Robin, but it shows a lot of details to their costume design. Last, but not least, the final photo shows what the "Gotham City" Set Design of the Stage will look like. So, which costume is your favorite?

Video Clips - BATMAN LIVE - UK Press Preview

YES! FINALLY! We finally get some decent press coverage from the BATMAN LIVE World Tour Show that will start in the UK & then arrive later in the US. Oh yeah, Featured in these 4 Video Clips: We get to see the Set Design, an Animation Sample for the Stage Video Screen, a CG representation of Harley Quinn's Carnival & also Wayne Manor ( with a very small teaser of the Bat-Cave ), and then the very last video shows all the Actors & their Costumes! Oh man, everything looks really really AWESOME!! I think this show is going to be incredible!

The amazing artwork you're enjoying right here was totally stolen from an Artist's website that I respect, ha! The Art Site is called MISTERHIPP and basically it's the visual diary of a cool Graphic Artist named Dan Hipp. He does a lot of work with Graphic Novels. His artwork has appeared in DC Comics, Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Tokyopop, and Del Rey Books.So, what do you think about his work? Pretty cool, huh!

New DC UNIVERSE ONLINE Statue - HARLEY QUINN

I always crack-up every time I see Harley Quinn with her giant-mallet hammer, ha! It's Classic! Well, some news from DC Direct shows us this brand-new DC UNIVERSE ONLINE STATUE of HARLEY QUINN based on the comic book art of Jim Lee. Now of course we're talking about the DCU Online Video Game. This is a nice series of statues with a lot of Batman-related characters. It's hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain and measuring approximately 7" high x 4 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" deep. It will be a Limited Edition Statue, with an estimated retail price of $90.00, and will go on sale around November 16th, 2011.
