Pete Arico's JACK NICHOLSON JOKER Sculpture Bust Statue - 1989 BATMAN Movie

Check out this amazing "JACK NICHOLSON JOKER" Sculpture Bust! It's crazy-good!! This pic was sent in by a Bat-Blog Fan named Pete Arico and this is one of his first statues he made! Pete is trying to get into the Sculpture Business & is a totally Self-Taught Artist. Well, it only took me 1 micro-second to recognize that this is Jack Nicholson from the 1989 BATMAN Movie...So, that's a great start! This piece really captures the essence of the character, from the costume, all the way to that famous smile. Thanks for sharing this cool pic Pete & keep up the good work!

NEW BATMAN STATUE BUST - TWO-FACE 1:2 Scale

POISON IVY Bust Statue WOMEN OF THE DC UNIVERSE - SERIES 3

DC Direct just announced that POISON IVY will be the latest character to join the popular WOMEN OF THE DC UNIVERSE bust statue series. Designed by Illustrator Amanda Conner, Sculpted by Jim Maddox. The hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain bust measures approximately 7.23" high x 2.75" wide x 2.5" deep and is packaged in a 4-color box. It will retail for about $ 60.00 & you can find it around February 23rd, 2011.

BATMAN 1:2 Scale ART BUST STATUE - New Custom Paint Job

OK, here's sort of a sad story but with a happy ending. Shown here are 3 photos of an excellent Batman Art Bust Statue ( Large 1:2 Scale ). But many of you who are familiar with this piece, made by DC Direct, is gonna say, "Hey, the colors are all wacky!" Ha Ha! Well, this Bat-Statue is owned by our friend Dallas & he had to have it both restored & repainted. Why? Because his small Son accidentally knocked this thing off a table & broke it in a few places leaving obvious damage. The nose was now gone & the cowl had broken areas. He had a friend fix it for him & since it was going to need to be repainted they decided to make it the traditional blue instead of the original black color. WOW! The statue now looks really great! Dallas' friend did a great job on it. The "blue" was an interesting choice & sort of reminds me of the older Silver Age Batman...very cool! ( Thanks to Dallas for sending us the cool pics ).

YES Boys & Girls! This hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain bust measures approximately 6" high x 3 1/4" wide x 4 1/2" deep and is packaged in a 4-color box. Overall, the whole thing is very highly detailed. Batman is holding his Bat-a-rang & it looks very real too. The rope is actually a very thick wire & looks kinda neat. Chuck Williams' BATMAN BUST Retro-Style Statue

OK, I saw this on the web recently & had to totally show it off because Chuck is a friend & an amazing artist! Here is a small BUST STATUE of BATMAN done in a Retro -Vintage style. It's made to look kind of like the old comic book art from the past. Plus, it's modeled after the 1966 Adam West TV version of the character. Personally, I think this thing is incredibly well done & a Total Masterpiece! It's shown here in 3 versions: Painted & two done in Raw Colors. The 2 colors are PALE GRAY, which makes it look like a fine art statue & brings out a lot of details. Then there is BLUE, which is sort of translucent a little bit & totally reminds me of those MARX TOY Action Figures made in the 1960's. Actually all 3 are really great & if I had to pick a favorite one it would be way too hard to decide. But really, now that I think about it, the painted version is the winner!

TOY GARAGE - Toy Collector Magazine From Taiwan with Batman Movie Cover!

Jerry, our friend who lives in Taiwan, sent us these photos of a Toy Collector Magazine there called TOY GARAGE. This issue came out around the time of THE DARK KNIGHT movie & featured some cool Bat-Collectibles. In fact, Batman was on the cover & the main story was about some of the statues & busts made by HOT TOYS & KOTOBUKIYA. It's so cool to me how Batman is extremely popular all over the world. Batman Christmas Holiday Decorating Idea # 1

It seems our friends Dallas & Daria are really getting into the Holiday Spirit this year! They decorated a few Batman, Joker, & Catwoman Statues with Christmas wreaths. The funny thing is the expression on Batman's face makes him look like he's not too happy with the whole idea, ha ha! But, overall, the 3 busts look pretty cool & I thought the picture would make a great Christmas Card image ( Thanks to Dallas for sending us the funny pic ).

New BATMAN STATUES To Look Out For Next Year, 2010!

I hate doing posts early where you show items that are not coming out for a long time but I decided, "What the heck, let's show 'em anyway because they're cool!". So, here are a few Batman Statues you'll be able to find early in 2010. The 1st one is totally amazing! It's a 1/2 Scale-Size Art Bust of TWO-FACE. It looks like one of those where the clothing is actual fabric & everything else is ceramic. He looks pretty creepy if ya ask me. The next one is a retro-30's style BATMAN ( Full Figure - DC Chronicles series ). It's great because it's just some vintage "Golden Age" goodness! Now, I saved the best one for last! This is BATGIRL from the "Women of the DC Universe" Series. She looks cool all perched-up on a building's gargoyle. When it gets closer to the release time for these we'll announce it here at the Bat-Blog, so stay tuned!

BATMAN ART STATUE BUST ( The Dark Knight movie version )

On April 17th the Bat-Blog introduced you to an artist named MAX who lives in Bretagne, France. He's the guy who created & sculpted that "Life-Size Heath Ledger JOKER" Statue Bust. I'm showing it in the very 1st photo to jog your memory but the post is mainly about this other piece, The Batman! YES! Max has done another one & this one is Batman ( The Dark Knight movie version ) & it's just as incredible! Just check out the photos. This artist's work is totally insane! Max was kind enough to allow me to post these photos & I really appreciate that. I love sharing Batman news & other stories but seeing an extremely talented artist be inspired by the Batman character is just awesome. THE DARK KNIGHT Heath Ledger JOKER BUST Art Statue

I met an artist named MAX on MySpace who lives in Bretagne, France. The guy is only 25 years old but man does he have major talent! He created & sculpted this "Life-Size Heath Ledger JOKER" Statue Bust & it looks incredibly realistic! I mean, the attention to details is totally insane! Just check out the photos & you'll see what I mean. The costume clothing is made out of real cloth for extra reality. The face looks EXACTLY like Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight Batman movie & it's sort of creepy, of course I mean that in a good way. It just shows how talented he is. I plan to post some more of Max's sculptures in the future so keep an eye out for those. In the mean time just have fun drooling over these pictures, ha ha! Retro-Style BURT WARD Statue Bust From The Masked Avenger Studios

Awhile back, here at the Bat-Blog, we reported about the now-famous ADAM WEST Statue Bust made by the Masked Avenger Studios. Well, now we are proud to announce the 2nd statue in the "Really Retro" series, BURT WARD! Of course we all know him as the actor who played Robin, The Boy Wonder in the classic 1966 Batman TV Show! It will be approx. 9" tall & will be limited to 250 pieces. 100 of the busts will be a special version with "red & yellow" clothing. Shown here is the prototype drawing & if we know this company then the finished piece will be totally amazing...they make great ART!

New ADAM WEST BUST Art Sculpture from Masked Avenger Studios

The Bat-Blog is proud to announce the ADAM WEST BUST designed by Wall Wingert & sculpted by former Disney Animator Ruben Procopio. This limited edition art sculpture of our favorite 1966 TV Show Batman will be released in the late fall of 2008 by Masked Avenger Studios. They're only gonna make 1000 of these with 100 of them being in the "Tweed Suit" version. The Display Box was designed by a friend of mine, named Scott Sebring, who also designed the website for this statue. Down below is a link button for more information & better photos. BATMAN STATUES: 1/4th Scale Collectible Busts of The Dark Knight & The Joker!

Here's some new photos just released from a company called HOT TOYS. They will be making these two 1/4 Scale Statue Busts of The Joker & The Dark Knight! They will be approx. 9 1/2" Tall & the release date is scheduled for late June or early July, right around the time of the movie. The one of the Joker is extremely detailed & I think it captures "Heath Ledger's essence" pretty good. What do you think about them? Please comment down below & let us know what you think. Promo Photos: Some BRAND-NEW The DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie TOYS, Action Figures, & Statues!

These images were pulled from a Japanese site & if Warner Bros wants them taken down I might have to but here's a few promo photos for a few of the super-cool Batman Toys they're gonna make for the 2008 Dark Knight movie! The 1st two pics are a set of Batman & Joker Deluxe Action Figures. Both are really impressive but the Joker's face is awesome! He looks exactly like Heath Ledger, a good job on that! The next item is a replica-prop of the Batman Grapple-Hook Gun. Looks like it comes with a stand & I bet it's gonna be popular. It also looks to be extremely nice quality, that's cool. The last photo are a pair of Batman & Joker Mini-Busts. The detailing on all these toys/statues are pretty nice. A lot of bat-fans were kinda turned off by the variety & quality of the Batman Begins merchandise but this time around it looks like they are gonna go all out!
