To quote the 80's Rock Band, The VAPORS, "I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so". This post was created to show a few examples of some beautiful 1966 BATMAN TV Show Theme Song Records from Japan. I love the combination of vintage graphics with Japanese lettering ( I like the 2nd one the best ). Plus, they're really hard to find. Now, after you drool over the pics then please check out the video too. It's the VAPORS singing their hit song, "Turning Japanese". Since I mentioned the band I knew I had to post it, ha ha! I know it's not "Batman-related" but it's a great song & you won't be able to get the tune out of your head all day long, ha!!
Here's a great video of an extremely cool kid. His name is James & his Dad caught him on tape saying his very first word... Batman! ( Thanks to his parents for sharing this ).
Here's a strange Batman-related item I came across last night while surfing the web, a "Batman Theme" for your Android Phone. Now I don't know how good the quality is because I don't have that kind of phone. Plus, I don't know anybody who has downloaded it, but it looks pretty cool. It cost 99 cents so that should give you an idea. Here's a LINK to check it out & if you do get it please give us a review. As a legal side-note, the Bat-Blog is not responsible for this thing screwing-up your phone, ha ha!
OK, I finally got around to posting this "PUG SINGS BATMAN" Video here at the Bat-Blog. The reason I didn't before is because it is so viral I know people are going to see it anyway ( it's everywhere ). But now I'm posting for the few who have not heard of it yet. It's pretty funny!
There's a story behind this special Batman Birthday Cake. The flowers along the top of the cake are blue and yellow for Adam West's costume and the bottom flowers are red, yellow, and green leaves for Burt Ward's costume ( their names are written by their colors ). This cake was for a special party for a Bat-Fan named Bobbi & she loved the the idea of a Batman-themed Birthday. I mean, it's just too cool! The neat thing is she got many compliments on this cake. Plus, that t-shirt is one of her favorites because it signifies the 1966 Batman exclusively. Same with the cake. It was 1966 themed as well. They've been her heroes since 1977 when she was first introduced to them on TV ( She was 7 yrs old at the time ). The great thing is that she got to meet both Adam & Burt this past April in Anaheim, CA. It was a definite dream come true! So, a special thanks goes out to Bobbi Lynn for sharing her wonderful photo & great story. She got to meet the Dynamic Duo!
Brian Setzer Orchestra performing "Batman Theme Song" at the Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada, July 11th, 2009. You might remember this guy from the 1980's Stray cats rock group. He's been playing Big Band music ( Rockabilly style ) for quite awhile now & is really great in concert! He plays all over the world so, if you get the chance, go see him play!
WOW! The Bat-Blog was recently mentioned in a post at the SUPERHERO-PARTIES website! They did a story on "the 7 Best Batman Birthday Cakes" & three of them were featured at the Bat-Blog at one time or another. That's awesome! The website was created to be helpful to parents who are trying to get ideas for superhero-themed birthday parties. I mainly like it because they feature a ton of wacky birthday cake photos. Stuff like: Superman, Spiderman, Harry Potter, Star Wars, & much more. Anyways, we're totally honored to be mentioned there & if you might be trying to plan a special Boy or Girl's Birthday Party ( or cool adult ) then please be sure to check out the site by clicking HERE!
"ZONK! ZONK!" Oh man, here's a totally hilarious animated music video done with the actual song "MIRANDA" sung by Adam West...it's groovy Batman time, baby!"ZONK! ZONK!"
A friend over at MySpace, named DJ Krueger, sent me this very cool music video he did as a tribute to the 1990's Batman: The Animated Series. He wrote this rap song & the words actually match the action on the opening credits pretty good! ( Thanks DJ for sending it to me, I know everybody will love it! ).
I thought this was kind of funny, ha ha! Here are 2 musicians playing the 1966 Batman Theme Song. The music is actually pretty good. In fact, they ROCK!
When I came across this video the other day I knew it had to be posted, it's so RARE & AWESOME! This is actual footage taped off of Italy TV for the Batman: The Animated Series ( Actually, The New Batman Adventures, but same thing! ). The theme song is in Italian and it's very interesting! I don't know why but I love to see unusual stuff like this. It's great that Batman is so popular all over the world. The show is titled "Cavaliere Della Notte" which, I think, means "Knight of The Night"...enjoy!

Here's a pretty cool video of the Union High School Marching Banding doing their version of the Batman Theme Song in 1994! It's actually pretty neat to watch ( and hear ) because they do a really great job & the costumes are awesome! If you watch it you'll see Batman, Catwoman & The Joker too! We're especially proud of this video because this school is from Oklahoma, our home state!
