eBay Find of The Week - BATMAN 1966 TV Show ADAM WEST & BURT WARD Autographed Photo

I thought I would experiment with a new idea of, each week, posting a cool Batman item I come across on eBay, that is still for sale. Now, this is NOT an invitation for eBay Slaves to spam me with what they're selling, ha! ( That's not gonna happen! ) I'll just find something fun & post it on my own. This item is pretty cool. Here's a Framed Color Photo of Batman and Robin from the Classic 1960's TV Series. It's signed by both Actors from the BATMAN TV Show, Adam West & Burt Ward. It's a photo you don't see that often & the signatures look really good. Here's a link to check it out, just click HERE!

It was filled with mango & vanilla. Plus, it featured the 1966 BATMAN TV Show Logo on the top & "Sound Effects" around the sides. It's completely beautiful and also a total work of Art! ( Thanks Alan for sharing these pics and, oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! )

1966 BATMAN TV Show - Uncle Sam PSA Propaganda P osters

While surfing through the evil eBay the other day I came across a Graphic Artist selling these BATMAN "I Want You" PSA POSTERS ( Public Service Announcement ). Of course they're all a parody of the classic UNCLE SAM Army Enlistment Propaganda Posters from World War II, but they feature characters from the 1966 BATMAN TV Show! I think they look pretty cool! We get to see Batman ( Adam West ), Robin The Boy Wonder ( Burt Ward ), and Batgirl ( Yvonne Craig ). The funny thing is that the Batgirl Poster says, "I want you to return all your books to Gotham City Public Library". You see, in the television series Batgirl was also Barbara Gordon, who was a Librarian in Gotham, ha ha!

ROBIN ( Jason Todd ) Seen on CBS TV Game Show, Ha!

A friend of the Bat-Blog, named Travis, was channel surfing the other day & couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a guy on TV dressed as a beaten and bloodied Robin/Jason Todd! But he managed to sneak a screen shot so check out the pic! Yes! That's Jason Todd, AFTER being beaten by The Joker with a Crowbar!! Good eye Travis. Now, for people who want to see the entire episode, it's online for a limited time at the CBS website. This is the show that aired on April 15th, just click HERE! TV News - BATMAN on American Pickers!

This is kinda funny! Our good friend, the Bat-Fan, saw this on TV awhile back & sent us a photo. It's a scene from "American Pickers" where Mike spots a BATMAN LOGO Surfboard, ha! If you're not familiar with the series it's a TV Show on the History Channel where two "Antique Guys" named Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz search old barns & homes across America on the hunt for Vintage Collectibles & Old Antiques. Personally, I love the show because this job is sort of what I have done for a living for 20+ years. Well, except I spent more time at Estate Sales & Flea Markets. If you have never seen "American Pickers" then check it out sometime, it's a fun show!

DVD Review - Batman: The Brave And The Bold, Season One, Part Two

Just a few days ago Warner Bros released their latest animated TV cartoon DVD, "Batman: The Brave And The Bold, Season One, Part Two". The special thing about this DVD is that it's a 2-Disc Set. The packaging is pretty cool & it contains 13 complete episodes. Now, there are not a lot of extras here but DISC ONE has a nice Movie Trailer for the next DC Universe Animated Film, "All-Star Superman". DISC TWO has a preview for the "Hot Wheels Battle Force 5" Animated TV Series. One last note would be that the shows are avaliable in three languages: English, Spanish, & Portuguese.

Now I gotta say that this is one GREAT series & a very nice DVD Set. I wish it was the Complete Season but it does have quite a bit of entertainment value. Plus, it's nice to watch the show without all the TV commercials, ha! Another thing I like is that it includes some of my most favorite episodes of Season One: "Trails of the Demon", because of the "Sherlock Holmes" angle. "The Color of Revenge", because of all the references to the Golden Age Comic Books & also the 1966 TV Show. "The Last Bat on Earth", because it showcased some Classic Jack Kirby-Inspired Characters & it brought back a lot of childhood memories for me. Actually the list could go on because every episode is fun! This set also includes the famous "Music Meister" episode, which was completely done as a Musical, a very strange ( but fun ) concept. I think that if you're a Fan of this TV Cartoon then you're gonna be pretty happy with this product. Now, just for fun, I have embedded some preview videos down below that are clips from a few episodes shown on this DVD, enjoy!

Episode Guide:
  1. Mystery in Space ( The Question, Aquaman & Adam Strange )
  2. Trials of the Demon ( Golden Age Flash, Sherlock Holmes & The Demon )
  3. Night of The Huntress ( Black Canary, The Huntress & Blue Beetle )
  4. Menace of The Conqueror Caveman ( Wildcat, Booster Gold )
  5. The Color of Revenge ( Robin The Boy Wonder, Modern-Day Robin )
  6. Legends of The Dark Mite ( Bat-Hound & Bat-Mite )
  7. Hail The Tornedo Tyrant ( Green Arrow, Red Tornado )
  8. Duel of the Double Crossers The Outsiders, Jonah Hex )
  9. The Last Bat on Earth ( Mr. Miracle & Kamandi )
  10. When OMAC Attacks ( Hawk and Dove, OMAC )
  11. The Fate of Equinox ( Dr. Fate )
  12. Mayhem of the Music Meister ( Aquaman, Green Arrow, & Black Canary )
  13. Inside The Outsiders! ( Green Arrow, The Outsiders )

The Crazy List of Super-Villians include:

The Joker, Riddler, Bane, Catwoman, Mr. Zero, Gentleman Ghost, Scarecrow, Gorilla Grodd,
Tweedledee & Tweedledum , Baby Face & Mrs. Man Face, Solomon Grundy, Two-Face, Cobra, Penguin, Polka Dot Man, Killer Moth, Kiteman, Crazy Quilt, Catman, Calendar Man, Black Manta, Clock King, Psycho Pirate, & many more!

DESMOND DOOMSDAY, The Blog All About 1966 BATMAN TV Producer William Dozier

I recently came across a very interesting website called DESMOND DOOMSDAY. It's a blog all about the life of William Dozier & his company, Greenway Productions. In Bat-History, he was the Executive Producer/Creator of the 1966 BATMAN TV Show. ( The photo posted here shows him with Actors Adam West & Burt Ward ). He also produced The Green Hornet series and the short-lived Dick Tracy. The blog has a lot of fun photos, video, and interviews. but the best part are all the Audio Clips featuring his voice. You see, he did the voice over work for the Batman TV Show. Stuff like, "Tune In Tomorrow, Same Bat-Time... Same Bat-Channel!" Here's a link to the site, just click HERE!

Help ADAM WEST Get a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame

The photo up above of the ADAM WEST STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is fake. I made it using a photo-editing program by typing his name in a gold-colored font on top of a photo of an actual star, why? Because for some reason the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has, for all these years, denied Adam West of the honor. Well, right now a Film Maker, named James Tooley, is trying to complete a Documentary that will help Mr. West get accepted. But he needs money to finish the project so he started a Kickstarter project to gather donations. If you think West deserves a star then please donate. Donations can be as low as one dollar, but every little bit helps. Also, to see the quality of the "Starring Adam West" Documentary just watch the video down below. Oh yeah, here's the link to Kickstarter, just click HERE!

Video - 1966 BATMAN TV Show - All 14 Window Cameos

One of the fun things they did during the 1966 BATMAN TV Show was the "Window Cameo". Every now and then Batman & Robin would be climbing up the side of a building in Gotham City & a window would open with a special guest to interact with. It was a favorite part of the show for many viewers & the list includes: Jerry Lewis, Dick Clark, Green Hornet ( Van Williams ) and Kato ( Bruce Lee ), Sammy Davis Jr., Jose Jimenez ( Bill Dana ), Howard Duff as Detective Sam Stone on "Felony Squad", Colonel Klink ( Werner Klemperer ), Lurch ( Ted Cassidy ), Don Ho, Andy Devine as Santa Claus, Art Linkletter, Edward G. Robinson, Suzy Knickerbocker, and The Carpet King ( real name unknown ).
