OK, Every week we post a few FREE Brand-New BATMAN WALLPAPERS here at the Bat-Blog, it's called "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! This week I was really struggling with what to post. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw how these 2 random backgrounds totally mirrored each other. OK, I know it's dumb, ha ha! but look at the size & angle of the Bat-Symbol in each of these pictures... they're almost the same! Now, the 1st one is a photo sent in by a Batman Fan who, one day, cooked a Bat-Biscuit! Hey, you gotta admit it looks pretty neat & is very creative. He did a great job on it! Now, the next wallpaper background is a CGI-rendered image of a young Bruce Wayne in the alleyway with his murdered parents. The looming shadow of the BAT symbolizes his future. Anyways, we hope you enjoy these. Please be sure to come back next week and we promise we won't be so weird, ha!
We just got this wonderful photo from a Bat-Blog Reader named Justin. It seems he is already in the Halloween spirit, that's cool! The other night he carved a Jack O'Lantern Pumpkin with this Batman Logo Bat-Symbol, it looks really good, nice sharp lines. Thanks Justin, you did a great job on it!! OK, I wanna take a moment to ask all Batman Fans that if they make a Batman-related Pumpkin or work on a Costume for Halloween this year to please send us a pic. Plus, if you have any Vintage Photos then that's good too. Thanks.
The Bat-Blog is pretty famous for it's wide variety of Batman & Joker Tattoo pictures so I was really happy to get this photo in my email this morning. It's from a Batman Fan named Shannon & she wanted to share this pic of her Sexy Bat-Symbol Tattoo she got on her 24th birthday...Thanks Shannon, it's AWESOME!!
OK, I was surfing through eBay the other night & came across this strange Custom BATMAN Horse Saddle. I thought I would share it because it's sort of both extremely weird & very awesome all at the same time. You know, kinda quirky. Actually, I guess if you do need a saddle then this would be pretty cool to have. It has the bat-symbol logo on it & comes in yellow or blue ( I like the yellow one better ).
Shown here, for your viewing pleasure, are 2 really great Batman Art Tattoos that are extremely HUGE! In fact, they cover the entire backs of these 2 dedicated Batman Fans ( Please be sure to click on the photos for larger, more detailed/sharper, pictures ). The 1st one is our friend Damon who got a set of colored tattoos with the artwork showing Batman, The Joker, & "The Dark Knight" Movie Bat-Symbol Logo. I think the picture of Batman is based on some Neal Adams art so that's cool. Either way, they're some really great images of the characters & the shading is very well done. The next tattoo is also really wonderful. This photo was sent in by our friend Nate & this is actually his Wife, who has been a Batman Fan and Collector since the 1970’s. It's a retro-style Batman with a great costume, it looks pretty awesome. I also really love the Batmobile as a vintage 1940's custom car. I wanna thank both our readers for sending these pics in. Well done. Also, If YOU have had some bat-tat ink done lately then please remember to share your pic with us.
I got this wonderful set of photos awhile back from a Bat-Blog Fan named Vickie & I'm finally getting around to posting them, whew! It's really cool, she got a BATMAN BAT-LOGO tattoo on her left leg. Shown here is the original artwork she gave to the Tattoo Artist to create this masterpiece. She wrote,
"I have a Batman Tattoo! I got one done in August of 2007 on my 18th birthday ( I'll be 21 this August ) and it was actually a birthday present from my Sister's boyfriend at the time. As it was my very first one I thought long and hard about it and chose to get a Batman-inspired tattoo, much to the jealousy of my Sister who also loves Batman!"
First off, Thanks Vicki for sharing the story & the cool pics, I appreciate that. Second, I'm glad your Sister is jealous because... she should be, ha ha! OK, if any other Bat-Blog Readers get some ink done then please remember to send us some photos.
OK, ya gotta love it when people customize their car into a Batmobile...it's wacky! Here are some fun photos from a guy I met online named John. He did some custom work on a 1997 Cougar & made it into the Ultimate Bat-Car! As you can see from the very 1st photo chicks totally dig the ride. Yes, there is a car in that photo (look to the right). Now in the next pic you can see the custom upholstery with the Bat-Logo on the seats. I like that everything inside is black & grey. Plus,I totally love that futuristic steering wheel, very cool! The next 2 shots show the outside of the car. You can really see the custom paint job with the Bat-Symbol on the sides & the hood. I guess it's important to say that they were shot while on a road trip up & down Route 66. Some pics were shot at the Texas border & the other one was in the mountains. I wanna thank john for allowing us to show off his cool Bat-Car & also invite all other Bat-Blog Readers who have made some Custom Batman stuff to send your pics in too.
The Bat-Blog is very proud to announce a brand-new member of the Hughes Family, Baby Batgirl! Her name is Brooke & she was born on January 8th, 2010. This precious photo was sent in because it shows off her homemade "Little Batgirl Baby Blanket" with the special pink bat-logo. It's so cute & she's just complete adorable!! Brooke is a wonderful gift. I want to send my most sincere best wishes to the Hughes Family at this time, Congratulations!!
OK, this video is not a complete "How To" tutorial but you get the basic idea. It shows you how to use Adobe Illustrator to make a BATMAN Bat-Symbol Chest Logo ( Classic "Yellow Oval" version ). It's kinda cool!
I just met this guy on the internet & how did I know he was a serious Batman Fan? Well, because he has this HUGE Batman Tattoo Art of a Bat-Symbol Logo on his chest! Now, that's what I call dedicated. He recently got it & it's pretty cool. It's done "life-size" so, I guess, when he removes his shirt it looks like he is wearing a Batman Costume underneath, that's awesome! Actually, his name is Denis & he was kind enough to allow us to post his photo. So, many many thanks to Denis for the great picture. Dude, the Bat-Tat looks really great, good job on that! We publish Batman-related Tattoos all the time so if any new Bat-Blog Readers get one then please send us a pic! ( Actually, if you have ANY Batman-related material please send that too: Brand-New Merchandise, Vintage Toy Collections, Birthday Cakes, etc...)
WOW, Since we have not posted a Batman Tattoo Photo in awhile I thought it would be a good idea to do one today! This photo was sent to us by a new friend we met at MySpace. His page is called "WicketToys" & he is totally into photography. He's also a Major Toy Collector. His main focus seems to be the line of Hot Toys Figures. But, wait a minute, back to the Bat-Tattoo, haha! As you can see by the photo, it's a small "Bat-Symbol Logo" on the back of his neck. I like the clean design, very simple. I wanna thank him for allowing us to publish his pic & if you're curious about his work then please be sure to visit his Flickr page where you can see some of his Collectible Toy Photography. It's located right HERE!
I got an e-mail this morning from a Bat-Blog Fan named JR, who just got this cool Batman Tattoo! It's the classic "Yellow Oval" Bat-Symbol Logo & it looks AWESOME! The lines are very sharp & the coloring is great. Thanks for sending the cool pic JR, I appreciate that. Also, the MARIO tattoo looks pretty cool too! Readers, there is ALWAYS an open invitation to send any kind of cool Batman-related pics to the Bat-Blog...so please do!
A Bat-Blog Fan named, literally, "Some Random Guy" sent us this photo of his 1995 Mitsubishi Diamante that he just started to customize. So far the car is black & gray with a cool Batman Bat-Symbol Logo painted on the hood. He said even though he is going to keep the design very simple, there are a few more things he is going to do & then he will send more pics of the finished product. That's cool. So far the car looks really great! I look forward to seeing it completed. Thanks for sending the photo, "Random Guy". Readers, if you have customized your vehicle into a Batman car then please send us some photos, thanks!
I have always liked the actress Mary Louise Parker. She's smart, funny, talented, & extremely HOT! I can't remember what TV Show ( or Movie ) I first saw her in but I've always thought she was super-cute, from day one! For the last few years she has been staring in a TV series on Showtime called WEEDS & it's a pretty good show. I've only seen a few episodes, because I don't have that cable channel, but I do plan on renting the entire thing someday. But anyway, last night I was surfing the web & just randomly came upon one of those celebrity news websites. Now, personally, I don't really care about what new purse Paris Hilton is sporting or who Britney Spears is dating, that's so lame. But when I scrolled down I saw this photo...Hubba Hubba! It's Mary Louise Parker wearing a Batman Bat-Symbol Logo T-Shirt! Now, is she really a Batman Fan or did some publicist say, "18-45 yr old nerds will think you're sexy in this shirt, blah, blah". OK, I proudly fit that demographic & I agree, she does look extremely HOT, ha ha! Of course she would look great wearing anything. ( Oh, I'm trying to bring back the phrase "Hubba Hubba" so please use it in a conversation soon ). I hope she's wearing this T-Shirt because, in real life, she's a Batman Fan...that would be so cool!
The other day, on the Internet, I came across a most excellent find that I knew I had to share with my readers. I found a company that makes high-end "Chrome-Plated BATMAN Emblems" for your car, truck, or auto!! Well, they also make Superman ones too but who cares, ha ha! There are 2 different Batman-themed auto emblems: The "Modern Bat-Logo" that you see on the chest of the Bat-Suit in the current comic books and an older silver-age version that is the classic "oval-shape". Oh man, I really love both of them, but I'm leaning more towards the oval-shaped one just because it's more recognizable. Now, these are not made out of cheap plastic, like some companies make, but they're actual chromed metal, very high quality. The retail price ( including Free Shipping ) is $25.00. When you get them they are presented inside a special Jewel Case box. I was actually thinking that if you have a Display Case ( piece of furniture ) in your house then this would be cool to stick on there to make it look like an "Official Batman Display Case", ha ha! For more information please be sure to visit their website by clicking HERE!
Awhile back, I got an e-mail from a guy who told me all about how he made some Batman Jewelry back in the late 1980's. Actually, the stuff came out during the 1989 Batman Movie craze! His company made many different versions of Batman-Themed Rings, Pendants, Pins, Buttons, Badges, Earrings, etc... They were all either Batman or Joker related & were the actual characters or their respective logos ( like the Bat-Symbol or Comic Book Logo ). Shown here are 2 Advertising Pamphlets featuring the work. Oh man, they're all so cool! The funny thing is I think I have one set of those Bat-Symbol Earrings, I'll have to dig those up later! Anyway, I wanna thank him for sharing these great pics. This stuff is an amazing piece of Vintage Bat-History! ( Readers, be sure to click on the above photos for larger, more detailed, pics ).
Here's a really nice set of photos sent in by our friend Jessica. This is her "Bat-Cat" named CURI. I bet you noticed that awesome Batman Bat-Symbol Logo Pet Tag, right? She explains, "When the Dark Knight movie was first released in theaters, PetSmart had a limited edition dog tag. It engraved your information, or pet's information, in gold on the back and was tres chic with the bat symbol on the front." Yeah, I gotta agree with her that it is pretty cool. Back then, a few months ago, I went to a ton of stores trying to find this tag. Finally did & bought the very last one. A few weeks later our dog was stolen & this Bat-Tag actually was the main purpose for the phone call we got from the "PET LOST" wanted poster that got her back. So, for me, personally seeing this tag again is really nice. I mean, it saved my dog's life! But that's a whole other story I plan to share later. Right now I wanna thank Jessica for sharing these super-cute pics, Curi looks like an awesome cat, & I appreciate you taking the time to send them!! If any other readers have any Batman-related photos to share then please send them in anytime, 24 hours a day! Our e-mail button is always on the top right-hand side of this page. OK, I really love this cat now, ha ha!
Yeee Haawww! Somebody done made himself a Batmobile! Ha Ha, There's a new website called "People of Walmart". It's a funny humor site where readers send in photos of weird ( or crazy ) people they see at Walmart. It's actually kinda mean but it's pretty hilarious at the same time. I mean, you can see some really crazy stuff at that store at 2:00 in the morning! Now most of the pictures are people wearing weird clothes or they have mullet hairstyles but, on occasion, they even show what some of these people drive. This site must be pretty popular because in the last few days I have had about 4 friends send me this photo, ha ha! Now of course I appreciate every single one, that's great! But it makes me wonder ...how famous is this P.O.W. website becoming? Oh yeah, the photo is a customized VW Bug with the Batman Bat-Symbol Logo on the hood. Ya'know, I actually think this car is kinda cool. I mean, if your car is a piece of junk, then why not do this?! Yeee Haawww!
Here are some really nice photos of a wonderful custom paint job for an electric guitar. It now has a "Batman Theme" that seems to have been inspired by the new THE DARK KNIGHT movie. It was made during the summer by a friend named Vince. I think it's pretty cool! On the front he painted a sunburst pattern with a Bat-Symbol Logo near the bottom. There is also a batsymbol on the back too. One thing to notice also is the very end of the neck was carved into a bat shape, a nice detail there! Overall it came out really great & is now a beautiful piece of art. The cool thing...it can play some serious music too! Thank you Vince for sharing these pics with us. You did an awesome job on this & you should be very proud. You ROCK, Sir!
