Video - THE NEW JOKER - a Fan-Made BATMAN Movie

Here's a JOKER FAN-FILM made by a few friends with probably no budget at all. But over all it's put together really well. The basic story is the Joker giving a message to Batman. Also, It's obviously the "Heath Ledger" version from "The Dark Knight" movie. The make-up & acting is pretty decent, check it out!

Video - 1967 Family BATMAN Movie ( Vintage Fan Film )

A friend of ours over at Facebook sent us this link to a really great BATMAN Fan Film. Now the thing that's extremely cool about it is that it was done in 1967! Yes, some kids back then must have had an 8mm camera or something & they put this BATMAN movie together! The thing that's so cool is that the "vintage look" of the movie gives it a lot of charm. Plus, they used some old Batman Halloween Masks as props, which are great to see! They also featured a fun 1966 Batmobile toy car that acts as the car in the movie. It's use is really clever... enjoy!

Years ago director Michael Valentine attempted to make a fan-film based on the BATMAN BEYOND animated series TV cartoon. Due to some difficulties ( I'm guessing lack of money )the movie was never finished.

Check this out, here's a brand-new video of a Batman Fan-Film that is starting to get a lot of attention. It's titled PASSING ON THE SMILE & it revolves around the beginning of the JOKER & HARLEY QUINN relationship that started at Arkham Asylum. The production values are good & the actors do a decent acting job. Plus, the shooting locations are impressive for a fan-made film. Now, I don't think I'm ready to do a complete full-review on this movie yet because I have only had time to watch a few parts of it ( it's in 6 parts ). But so far it's been pretty good. New "Passing on the Smile" Fan-Film Teaser Trailer - Harley Quinn's Origin

I received an email this morning from a guy who is working on a new fan-made film called "Passing on the Smile". Basically, the movie is all about the creation of Harley Quinn. She is an employee of Arkham Asylum in Gotham City & we all know that she turns into a villain ( and Joker's girlfriend ) ...but, how does it happen? I think this film is going to try & explain that. This is the teaser trailer & you also get a small glimpse of the Joker.

Video - BATMAN - CITY OF SCARS Fan-Film Movie

The Bat-Blog reported awhile back that the BAT IN THE SUN Film Crew was working on a brand new fan-made movie titled BATMAN: CITY OF SCARS. Well, they finally released the thing & WOW, it was well worth the wait! For being a very low budget film it really has some great production quality. These are the guys who, a few years ago, created the fan-favorite "Patient J". The costumes, props, sets, make-up, & over all design is really great. The acting isn't too bad either, I was very impressed. It features a wonderful cast of villains like The Joker, Harley Quinn, Zsasz, The Ventriloquist & Scarface. The film runs about 30 minutes so you might wanna grab a snack, kick back, & be entertained.

The Basic Story:



When the Joker escapes from Arkham and murders the parents of a young boy, Batman recalls the pain of losing his own parents as a child. He is pushed past his limits to the point where his focus becomes revenge on all who stand in his way, including many of Gotham’s underworld. Finally, Batman is forced to look at the psychological profile of his own mind and accept the consequences of his life to find resolve.

Video - BATMAN CITY OF SCARS - FIRST LOOK Fan-Film Movie Preview

Here's a first look at a soon to be released Batman fan-film titled CITY OF SCARS. It's being made by Bat In The Sun Productions & the production quality looks pretty excellent. We don't get to see much acting in this video ( they're mostly production stills or photos ) but the costumes, make-up, & set design look really great. It will premier on the popular video website DailyMotion.com around June 2010 so look for it then. I'm sure it will be hyped pretty big once it's released. Plus, stay tuned to the Bat-Blog because we'll probably announce it right here.

Watch what happens when Harley Quinn has a blind date with the eccentric man-child, Pee-Wee Herman. This fan-made Batman movie short made by Influence Films is actually pretty good. If anything, the costumes are really great! Also, don't forget to stay tuned for the bloopers during the credits!

This video is an extremely well-done fan-made "movie trailer" for a Batman Fan-Film titled ARKHAM. It's done with CGI 3-D Computer Graphics & is NOT related to the current video game titled "Arkham Asylum". It features Dr. Harley Quinn & her patient, The Joker. The sound effects & music are really excellent so be sure to crank-up your speakers, enjoy!

Video: "The Greatest Fan Film of All Time" Comic Book Superhero Animated Movie

"The Greatest Fan Film of All Time" is a sequel to "Batman's Gonna Get Shot in the Face". The primary filmmakers are Jacob Drake, who animates the projects, and Larry Longstreth, who does everything from writing to producing the recording sessions and casting the roles. The film stars PAUL MOLNAR as THE JOKER, VINCE BRUNO as BATMAN, LARRY LONGSTRETH as SUPERMAN, AARON LONGSTRETH as THE HULK, and tons more. The story is really good & there are many different moments in the film that are edited, or done, extremely well. I like the "Nightwing on the rooftops" sequence & when The Joker uses his hand to "walk on top of Gotham City buildings" is pretty clever. The fan-film even makes a few references to the classic 1970's Superman Movies that you'll see right away. Also, there's a ton of superhero characters here both from DC & Marvel Comics. I guess I gotta mention that there are TV Cartoon characters as well. It seems like hundreds, ha ha! Overall, if you're a comic book fan, then you'll love it!

Here's an amazing 3-D CGI Computer Animated Batman Movie Fan-Film made by Reticom Films. It's titled BATMAN: BLOOD AND MUD. The story is based on Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns comic book graphic novel. The graphics are really amazing & it has a lot of scenes that are very iconic. BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE Fan-Made Fan-Film Movie

I recently received an e-mail from a guy at 27th Letter Productions. He wrote to tell me about a fan-made Batman Fan-Film his company did. It's called BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE. I decided to check it out & it's actually pretty good. OK, it's not a totally pristine-perfect movie but the story is well-written & the actors do a decent job. The camera work is nice too. Plus, there's a lot of characters you will enjoy like Batman, Selina Kyle ( Catwoman ), Tim Drake ( Robin ), & Mob Boss Rupert. The amazing thing is that their budget was only around $1000. The movie is a little over an hour long &, for the internet, is broke up into 3 parts. To check it out I have a link button at the bottom of this post. BATMAN: FORSAKEN Fan-Made Film by Gotham Public Works

For Bat-Fans who have been living under a rock for the last few years "Gotham Public Works" is a charitable organization of cosplayers who are pretty serious about their costumes. They dress-up for all the major comic book conventions & are developing a sort-of cult following. They also show-up at children's hospitals, in costume, for the kids. Well now they have advanced into the world of fan-made film. Their latest adventure is called BATMAN: FORSAKEN. Their plans are to release this in small parts like a movie serial. Up above is the movie poster which looks pretty good. I have also put the "teaser movie trailer" video down below for you to check out. The quality of the video is very excellent, looks production made. Nice lighting, good sound, interesting camera work, etc...and of course, incredible costumes. For me I think the costumes are the most impressive. I mean, they take cosplay to the next level. The attention to details is totally insane! You'll see the Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Mad Hatter, Harley Quinn, Batman, Batgirl ( Cassandra version ), The Huntress, & Catwoman ( my favorite )! This is a submission for a campus-wide contest to demonstrate respect on campus, and is a spoof of the 1966 Batman TV Show with Adam West and Burt Ward. It is titled "Falconman and Rooster". The quality is decent for a bunch of students just learning how to use video!

Batman Fan-Made Film: BORN LAUGHING ( Heath Ledger's Joker )

"Born Laughing" was written to chronicle the early crimes of Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger's incarnation of the Joker character. The acting is pretty good for a fan-film. Also, The Joker's costume, hair, & make-up look very much like Heath Ledger's version...nice!

The other day a friend reminded me of this awesome Batman Fan Film titled ARKHAM ASYLUM. I had this on the bat-Blog awhile back when it premiered but thought it was worthy of another look. It's a short fan-film by Miguel Mesas (www.miguelmesas.com). It's based on the famous comic book graphic novel BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM (Written by Grant Morrison. Art by Dave Mckean). It's also a "foreign language" film so that's why there are English subtitles. The art direction, costumes, & overall quality are totally insane ...enjoy!
