New HUGE Art Bust Statue - Homer Simpson as Batman, The Dark Knight!

While searching "Batman Statues" on eBay the other night I can across this "Homer Batman" one that is both pretty cool & very clever. Now, I don't know if it's an actual licensed product so I'm not going to completely endorse it ( Plus, I don't know anything about the quality of the item ). But I thought I would share it as "Batman News" because this thing is awesome! It's basically a super giant-size bust of Homer Simpson dressed as the Dark Knight! As a side-note, these are the guys who also sell a Complete Set of Life-Size Justice League of America Statues ( We're showing the Batman one as an example ). Oh yeah, they also make one of Mickey Mouse Statue which is obviously NOT Batman-related but I think it's extremely cool!

Very Cool Life-Size Statues of BATMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE on eBay

While surfing through eBay the other day I came across this Life-Size BATMAN Statue & knew it had to be shared. Why? Well, besides being extremely cool, the same company also makes many other members of the Justice League. Just check out the 2nd photo: Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern!!

Ruben's BATMAN LIFE-SIZE STATUE Custom Art

Oh yeah! Check this out!! Our friend Ruben went & made himself a Life-Size Statue of BATMAN from The Dark Knight movie!! I'm really proud of this thing, it's so cool! Ruben lives in Chile & one day he decided that he wanted to create a Batman statue for himself. So, he made this one with resin, polystyrene and rubber. It really looks great! I love it when Bat-Fans get totally creative & are inspired by their love of the Batman character. This is the perfect example. Thank you Ruben for sharing your wonderful pictures, I appreciate that. Now, get busy making a JOKER, ha!

ART: Superman & Batman as Life-Size Statues!

Here are 2 very cool Superman & Batman Life-Size Statues made by an Artist named Cedric. When I first saw the one of Superman I thought it was a photo of Christopher Reeve, ha ha! Both of these statues are really really great & I can't really pick which one I like better! But I guess I gotta go with the one of the Dark Knight because I'm such a huge Bat-Fan. Video: Halloween BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT Movie Theme Display 2009

Look at how I decorated for Halloween this year! The neighborhood kids really loved it. No, it's not mine, just kidding, ha ha! This is the work of an extremely creative guy named Jerjod. It took him a whole year to construct all this stuff for his 2009 Halloween Batman Display. In the driveway is a Tumbler Batmobile Replica Car he made. He also made a Life-Size Mechanical Manikin of Batman in costume that moved around. There were Battery Controlled "Wing-Flapping Bats" that hung from the trees & he even had a HUGE Bat-Symbol light shining on his house that took up the entire garage-area section!! WOW! THE JOKER From Dark Knight Batman Movie ( Heath Ledger ) Life-Size Paper-Mache Sculpture

On a personal level I really love ART in just about all of it's forms, especially artwork made by children. It just has a very nice charm about it. Well, a friend to the Bat-Blog, named Adrian, recently went to an exhibit of "Little Kid's Superhero Art" & he got some amazing photos to share. Adrian wrote, "I went to a local mall last night to see some 3-dimensional life-size paper-mache sculptures. They were created by some 7th & 8th grade students of the Holten-Richmond Middle School of Danvers, MA. My girlfriend's cousins, who are in the 8th grade class, helped on a sculpture." WOW! These HUGE sculptures are really super-great! Because the Bat-Blog is ALL about Batman I am sort of showcasing the one of the Joker. It's the Heath Ledger version from the Dark Knight Batman movie ( which is kinda weird for little kids to be making, ha ha ) but they did a wonderful job on this figure! He looks awesome! There were also some pieces, equally as great, that focused on Marvel Comic Book characters. They made Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, Ironman, & Dr. Octopus! All the artwork here is really special & I wanna congratulate all the children on a job very well done! Also, I wanna thank Adrian for the use of these pics. Thank you, they're very cool!

Life-Size Batman Statue Made From Lego Bricks!!

A friend to the Bat-Blog, named Brian, sent us this really nice set of photos shot at a Toys-R-US toy store. At one time this toy store chain, at certain locations, would have a Life-Size Batman Statue on display! Of course, it was a promotional gimmick for the new Batman Lego Toy Sets. Brian wrote, "I got my picture taken with a life size Lego Batman back in January ( You can also see my two sons with him ). To kinda give you an Idea how big Batman was I am 6 foot 4"! ( Batman was on a podium ). Toys R US had it and if you guessed how many bricks it took to build it you got a prize." Ha Ha, Thanks for sharing the story & the wonderful photos with us Brian. When you guys walked into the toy store that day, & saw this, you all must have freaked out!! I've seen this thing in real-life & yeah, it's crazy! I wonder if anybody guessed the right amount of bricks? Thanks again for sending the awesome pics, I wanna invite ALL other Bat-Blog Readers with cool stuff like this to send it in!

The famous toy store F.A.O. Schwarz has gone through a major make-over. Now they specialize in high-end very expensive toys for millionaires & the elite! One of their offerings this year is gonna be a Life-Sized Batman Statue made entirely from Lego™ bricks. He measures about 6'6" tall. This item is extremely cool & is on every toy collectors wish list. The price, $27,000.00. Yes, you read that right, twenty-seven thousand dollars!! LIFE-SIZE BATMAN LEGO TOYS STORE DISPLAY at TOYS-R-US

Here's a very cool Batman-related photo sent in by a loyal BAT-BLOG reader named Dave. He says, " I went to my local TOYS-R-US last week to see what new Bat-items they had & when I turned the isle BBAAAMMM! This life-size full-figure statue of BATMAN THE DARK KNGIHT was right there...My small son nearly freaked out!!". HA HA, I bet that was a surprise. The statue was made by LEGO to advertise their new line of Batman Lego Toys & is made completely out of real Legos!! Wow, that thing must weigh a ton, ha ha. Thanx so much for sending in this wonderful photo Dave. I know the readers are gonna love it & I hope your son is ok! If anyone has some cool pix to share then please feel free to send them!
