BATMAN LIVE POSTERS and BILLBOARDS Popping-Up in the UK & France!

With the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour opening pretty soon in the UK ( The very 1st show, I think, starts next month ) the advertising hype is starting! Shown here, in the very 1st photo, is the Official Marquee Poster that will appear in front of theaters. Then, in the 2nd pic, is a French Advertising Poster at a Bus Stop Terminal in Paris, France. Then, a HUGE Giant-Sized Vinyl Billboard in Liverpool, England! ( Please click on it, it's a really BIG Photo ) WOW! OK, I'm asking all of our friends who live in Europe to please send us some photos of this kinda stuff when you see it. You guys get to experience this event a full year before we Americans do & I'm totally jealous, ha!

Ryan's Insane BATMAN MEMORABILIA & TOY Collection!

One of the things I love about collecting Batman stuff is that over the last 40+ years they have made a TON of merchandise that you can hunt down. So, you can never "have it all" or, in other words, you can collect it forever! It's sort of the main inspiration for me creating the Bat-Blog. Then, speaking of this site one thing I really love is connecting with other Bat-Collectors. I always like seeing other people's stuff, what they have & how it's displayed.

Shown here are a few photos of "Ryan's Batcave". as you can see he has some extremely awesome Batman Toys, Action Figures, Collector Plates, Statues, Framed Art Prints, Posters, etc... even a 1989 BATMAN MOVIE Video Game Vending Machine ( my favorite piece! ). Well, I really like the "Animated Series" Collector Plates too. Ryan seems to have focused a lot on the items from the WB Store. We used to have one here where I live & I really miss it. They had a lot of high-quality items. Well, anyway, please check out all the cool pics and I wanna thank Ryan for sharing his personal Bat-Collection, it's very very cool!

Please Help Comic Book Artist Moose Baumann Raise Money for Wife's Cancer Treatment

I noticed a story the other day over at COMICS ALLIANCE that sort of broke my heart a little bit. It appears that Moose Baumann, an extremely talented comic book colorist, is being plagued with having to deal with his Wife's Cancer Treatment ( We hope she is feeling better soon ). You see, most Comic Book Artists are pretty much "freelance" or self-employed. Many don't have proper Health Insurance. So, to help deal with the bills Moose Baumann is offering "Superhero Art Prints" to help raise money. The prints are 13" x 19" and printed on archival paper. They're some of the many comic book covers ( and inside artwork ) that he has colored. Now, We have only posted a few as examples here but there are more variations on Batman and Robin. There are also some images of Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, Iron Man, etc... Here's a LINK to check it out!! Oh yeah, the prints are only $20 so while you're there buy 3 or 4, thanks.

1966 BATMAN TV Show - Uncle Sam PSA Propaganda P osters

While surfing through the evil eBay the other day I came across a Graphic Artist selling these BATMAN "I Want You" PSA POSTERS ( Public Service Announcement ). Of course they're all a parody of the classic UNCLE SAM Army Enlistment Propaganda Posters from World War II, but they feature characters from the 1966 BATMAN TV Show! I think they look pretty cool! We get to see Batman ( Adam West ), Robin The Boy Wonder ( Burt Ward ), and Batgirl ( Yvonne Craig ). The funny thing is that the Batgirl Poster says, "I want you to return all your books to Gotham City Public Library". You see, in the television series Batgirl was also Barbara Gordon, who was a Librarian in Gotham, ha ha!

BATMAN ARKHAM CITY - Hugo Strange and Two-Face Propaganda Posters

Here are some BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Propaganda Poster images released by both Warner Bros Interactive & Rocksteady Games. In this sequel to the popular Batman Video Game a character named Hugo Strange is going to be a major part of the game. This "poster" is one that is being posted all over Gotham City. The next "poster" is for Two-Face & it's a parody of the famous "Uncle Sam, I Want You" image.

Jason's BAT-MAN-CAVE Batman Toy Collection Room

Check out this amazing Man-Cave. I mean, Bat-Man-Cave! Our friend Jason sent us some wonderful photos awhile back of his Batman Toy Collection & in the process we got to see an extremely well-decorated room. At the time he sent these photos I was having major issues with my email server so most of the pics were ruined. Now, we get to see them in all their glory! You can tell that a lot of thought went into creating this room. Many posters/art prints are framed & look great on the wall. There are a few display cases featuring cool bat-toys. Then, there's the media center, which is nice, but I totally love the custom-made bat-symbol lighting fixture that is above the TV. I think I could totally live there! I'll just sleep on the couch, don't worry about me, ha! Thanks for sharing these pics Jason & sorry it took so long to get them up here. If any other Bat-Blog Fans have similar photos to share then please send them today!

Sean Hartter's Retro-Style SUPERHERO MOVIE Posters

OK, I'm a total loser & don't get to brag much, but I gotta say that I'm really proud of our good buddy Sean Hartter! He's a very talented commercial artist & he recently got some amazing hype on his artwork over at the WEEKLY-CRISIS website. They did a fun story about his fake Retro-Style "Superhero Movie" Posters & Lobby Cards. Basically, he creates new images that look like old vintage advertising for movies that were never made ( but you WISH they had made, ha! ). As an example I'm showing one for THE JOKER with Tim Curry as the lead character. But at the Weekly-Crisis website you can see some of your favorite Superheroes like: Superman, Plastic Man, Iron Fist, Wolverine, & many more. Just click HERE!

BATMAN and ROBIN Vintage-Style Graphic Art Posters

Michael B. Myers is a 27 year old Graphic Designer and, as a personal project, he recently created a few "Vintage Style Superhero Posters" featuring a few of our favorite DC Comics characters. He actually made a lot of them ( Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, & Hawkman) but because the Bat-Blog is mostly Batman-related, I thought I would just post these 2 of The Dark Knight and Robin. If you would like to see more then just click HERE!

Bat-Blog Reader Shares Original 1966 Batman TV Show Memorabilia & Props

A good friend to the Bat-Blog, named Ralph, has an extremely amazing collection of Batman Toys, Original Props, & Movie/TV Memorabilia. The other day he sent along a few pictures, OK, a TON of photos, ha ha! There were too many to place in one post so I kinda broke them up. ( We love getting a lot of great pics ). This first part covers his "Original 1966 Batman TV Show Props". These items really deserve to be in a museum, seriously! The 1st photo shows an original Pair of Bat-Gloves worn by Adam West on the Classic TV Series. They have been very neatly framed with a letter from Adam West himself. The 2nd photo is the original Mr. Freeze Helmet worn by the actor George Sanders. This was always a favorite villain so seeing this prop is pretty cool! The last 2 items were actual props used in the TV Show. They're from an episode where both Batman & The Penguin run for Mayor of Gotham City. These are the original "Political Posters" seen around "Gotham City". The one of The Penguin is one of those kind of signs someone would wear around town advertising the event. The one of Batman looks like it has been signed by Adam West making it even more valuable. I really love these photos Ralph, thank you so much for sending them. You have an amazing collection that you should be very proud of. Thanks again for sharing them, that's so cool. I promise that l will get around soon to posting the other pics soon. ( Readers - Stay Tuned because Ralph has a totally insane collection of Vintage 1960's Batman Toys that is gonna blow you away. Look for them here at the Bat-Blog very soon! ).

Super BATMAN COLLECTOR Shares BATMANIA TOY COLLECTION Photos!

Yesterday I received an e-mail from a Bat-Blog Reader who sent some incredible photos of her boyfriend's display of Batman Memorabilia. She said, "Hello Bat-Blog, my name is Melissa and I wanted to tell you guys about my boyfriend's Batman Toy collection. He has so much stuff we had to buy a bigger house with a room just for Batman! He has about 20 boxes in the garage that are unopened complete old Batman sets and the whole room is full, its pouring over into the other rooms! I took some pics and I have included them. By the way, he goes on your site every day & his name is Pete, thanks." WOW!! Melissa, please tell Pete that he has some very amazing super-cool stuff & I really appreciate YOU sending these great pics, thank you. I love to see what other Batman Collectors have. I always end up playing that game where I am like, "OK I have that, I don't have that, I have never seen that before, oooh awww I want that!", ha ha! It's great! As always we want to invite any Bat-Blog Readers to send us cool photos, information, news, etc...if the Bat-Blog is any good at all it's because of it's amazing fans...Thanks so much!

Anybody Ever Seen This Batman Poster?

A friend to the Bat-Blog recently asked if I knew where he could find this obscure BATMAN Poster. I told him I have never seen it before. I'm guessing that it's a "foreign release", probably from the UK, or maybe just some very obscure Promo Poster. About the only thing he knows about this item is that the artwork was done by Drew Struzan. So, I'm asking all the Bat-Blog Readers if any of you know anything about this poster please leave a comment or send us an e-mail, thanks.
