Vintage BATMAN - THE ANIMATED SERIES Toys!

Here are some totally great pictures sent in by a Good Citizen named Kevin. I think he either wanted to share a few wonderful Vintage Items from his Batman Toy Collection ...or he wanted to torture me, I'm not sure, ha! You'll see what I'm talking about later, these toys are really really cool! The 1st item is a BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES Slot Car Race Set by Tyco. It was called "Gotham City Chase". I have this item in my collection & have always loved it. The graphics all over the box are wonderful & the Slot Cars of the TV Cartoon Batmobile & Joker Car are very cool. Now the next item is actually a little better. Well, "better" might not be the right word but it is a lot harder to find ( more rare! ). It's the POWER PUNCH BATMAN Play Set. Basically it's just like the old ROCK 'EM SOCK 'EM Game from the 1960's but instead of robots you get Batman VS Penguin!! This toy was an EXCLUSIVE item at KAY-BEE TOYS. In other words, you could ONLY buy it at that retail toy store. I remember when it came out & it was sort of expensive. Maybe around $40.00? Which, at the time, I thought it was kind of over-priced, or maybe I was just broke ( ha! ), but it seemed like a pretty high price for what it was. But don't get me wrong! It's an extremely cool toy & one that I totally regret either not buying new or even finding later. The original box it came in was gigantic in size & the toy is pretty BIG too. Basically you & a friend would operate some levers & buttons to make 2 large figures fight each other. The figures actually threw punches & the heads would pop-up if you hit them just right. Sort of like a knock-out! I remember seeing this toy at Garage Sales a long time ago & it was always wasted! now, you never find this thing...it's just super-rare!! (( Check this out - The very last photo, up above, is actually a BATMAN VS PENGUIN DESKTOP WALLPAPER I made with the graphics from the back of the box! )) I wanna thank Kevin for shooting these wonderful photos. New 1966 BATMAN TV SHOW BATMOBILE SLOT CAR RACE SET From Auto World!

The 1966 TV Batmobile Car has just resurfaced on the cover of the Auto World Slot Car 2010 Catalog!! It looks like they will be making a Special '66 BATMAN TV SHOW Slot Car Race Set with the Batmobile & another "Villain Car". I'm not sure which evil doer it will be because the prototype box art show a vehicle that looks like it belongs to the Joker & the Catalog says "Penguinmobile" where they show the race track layout ( see pics ). But don't worry, the Bat-Blog will let everybody know once we get some more information. In the meantime, please enjoy these photos & totally drool!! The 1st image is an idea of what the box art might look like. The remaining photos are directly taken from the Auto World 2010 Slot Car Catalog. Oh man, this looks extremely cool...I'm completely excited!!

STREETS OF GOTHAM - FULL THROTTLE Batman the Brave and The Bold - Flash Video Game

Over at the DC BEYOND website they have a new free online BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD 3D Flash Video Game called "STREETS OF GOTHAM: FULL THROTTLE!". It looks pretty cool! I have not played it yet but it's a race car racing game with Batman, Catwoman, Green Arrow, The Joker, The Huntress, Green Lantern &, I think, Wildcat. The goal is to win a few races, in a row, so you can unlock a new vehicle for Batman. Oh, it's the BAT-JET! Yes, you get to fly around the track! Here's a link to check it out, just click HERE!

BATMAN vs GRAVE DIGGER - Monster Truck Jam World Finals 8

Here's a fun video from the Monster Truck Jam World Finals 8 showing the race of Grave Digger vs Batman. I have always been a fan of this very unique Batmobile Car just because it's so CRAZY! Now, I'm not gonna tell you who wins the race. You gotta watch the video to find out, ha ha!

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Gotham City Raceway - Slot Car Racing Set

Our good buddy "Batmobile Billy" recently sent us some photos of a new addition to his Batman Car Collection. It's a Slot Car Racing Set with a "Batman: The Brave & The Bold" theme. It's called "GOTHAM CITY RACEWAY!". It's made by TYCO RC, which I think is owned by Mattel now. You get a bunch of Race Track, 2 Controllers, a Few Cardboard Cut-Outs of Different Scenes, a Batmobile Slot Car, & Green Arrow's car. This is kinda funny because they usually make these sets with the other car being Batman's enemy ( usually the Joker ). This time it's Green Arrow, which kind of makes sense since they're always competing in the cartoon. Billy told me that the cars look really great ...but they're a lot smaller than usual. But either way this is a Batman Race Set I am gonna have to get because I really love the TV Show & this item looks really cool! ( Thanks Billy for sending the nice pics ).

"The Adam West Experience" at the 2008 Red Bull Soap Box Derby

Every year the RED BULL Beverage Company has a famous Soap Box Derby Race event where people make their own cars & go totally crazy doing it! This year, 2008, it was in Cincinnati & I'm proud to say that there was a team called "The Adam West Experience" where some Bat-Fans made a replica of the "George Barris-Style" 1966 Batmobile Car! The 2 drivers even dressed up as Batman & Robin, ha ha! Here's a few pics of it & then a video where they sadly broke their car. Man, it would have been sweet if they won & we got to see the Batmobile cross the winning line...maybe next year!

Batman CUSTOM BATMOBILE: 1965 Shelby Cobra Roadster Race Car

Here's a very beautiful car that was offered on eBay recently. It's a customized 1965 Cobra Shelby Roadster Race Car! The weird thing is that it didn't receive any bids. What the hell?! The starting bid was only $35,000 which I think is a total steal. If you're interested in this car you should keep an eye on eBay because I bet he puts it back on. His name is LIFE_SIZE_FIGURES. I think he got his name from the comic book character manikins you see in the 1st photo because he sells those too. He has a Joker, Poison Ivy, & Wonder Woman that are all life-size. Also, look at that kid in the photo, ha ha! He has an expression on his face like he's totally surprised & shocked....funny!
