We all know about the next Batman Video Game called "Batman: Arkham City". So, I won't get into that, but I'll just show you these ultra-fresh screenshots from the UK! Auction News - Batman Movie Memorabilia at Profiles in History

Next Friday & Saturday, December 17th & 18th, PROFILES IN HISTORY will be holding another of their famous "Hollywood Memorabilia" auctions in Beverly Hills, CA. This time they have some extremely amazing items up on the auction block: Original Puppets by Tim Burton from "The Corpse Bride", a Ton of "Blade Runner" Movie Props, Some items from "Terminator", & even "The Wizard of OZ"! But the best items for us Batman Collectors are some pieces from the "Batman Returns" 1992 movie & even one film-prop model from "The Dark Knight". In the "Returns" list there are many Conceptual Art Drawings, Danny Devito's Penguin Costume Pieces ( Umbrella, Monocle, Cigarette Holder ), & a 1/4 Scale Model of the Batmobile. The car alone is expected to bring $30,000 to $50,000 ( just a tiny bit out of my price range ). The "Dark Knight" item is the Garbage Truck driven by a Joker Goon. Well, not the actual "truck", ha ha!, but an extremely detailed model ( check out the pics ). There are even a few more items to numerous to list. So, here's a link to their website, just click HERE! I apologize in advance for this post sort of being like an "image dump" but there are some really great pics here from the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game, the sequel to ARKHAM ASYLUM. I'm loving the extra characters so far: Catwoman, Harley Quinn, & Two-Face! Plus, the "Joker Goons" sort of crack me up!

Custom Toy: THE DARK KNIGHT JOKER-CYCLE Action Figure Vehicle!

I don't really mean for today to be "Custom Toy Day" but that's kinda how it sort of randomly happened, ha ha! But you'll like this cool post so be quiet! Our good friend Danica sent me this photo of a JOKER CYCLE that her friend Damian made. He used an older toy made by Kenner for their DARK KNIGHT action figure line. Now, back when this vintage toy was made "The Dark Knight" movie was not even an idea yet & they just called their line of Batman toys "The Dark Knight Collection". I remember when they were in retail stores & they made some really great stuff! I have especially always loved this Joker Bike & it's sort of an obscure toy today. Now the original Joker-Cycle had a HUGE "Joker Head" on the front of the motorcycle & when you hit a button it flew off like a weapon. What Damian did was replace the face with one of the "Joker Goon Masks" that came with the brand-new line of Movie Masters action figures. He also custom painted the bike a little bit to make it more modern-looking. The Joker Bank Robber Goon action figure looks pretty awesome sitting on there too! Now the photo that Danica sent was pretty BIG & plus the toy is pretty awesome so I thought it would make a great Batman Desktop Background. So, that's what I did...if you click on the picture you can open it to a size that's perfect for wallpaper. Check it out!! Thanks to both Dancia & Damian for sending the cool pic. Damian, you did an awesome custom job & this is a really clever idea, thanks.

THE JOKER GOON LEATHER JACKET By Universal Designs

There's a new fashion clothing company out there now called UNIVERSAL DESIGNS & one of their new products is gonna be this Leather Jacket modeled after the uniform worn by "Bob The Goon" in the 1989 Batman film. Except, the twist is, the graphics are the modern day "Heath Ledger Joker" from The Dark Night movie & not the comic book version that was used in the older movie. But, I guess it's sort of an homage...that's cool!

The Bat-Blog received an e-mail recently from a loyal reader named DC MILLER. He is an artist working in the animation industry. In his spare time, when he's not slaving away at some project, he likes to draw for his own personal pleasure. One subject he totally loves is the "Batman Universe". He's a big fan & his work is really awesome! We plan on featuring more of it in the near future, but for right now, I'm posting a JOKER & GOONS Desktop Wallpaper he made. THE DARK KNIGHT Halloween Costumes! The Scarecrow & Bank Robber Joker Goon!

I just received these 2 very cool photos the other day from a Bat-Blog Reader who told me about him & his friend being THE DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Characters for the special event. He was the "Bank Robber Joker Goon" & his friend was "The Scarecrow"...awesome! The costumes looked awesome guys. Thanks for sending the pics, I appreciate that, & if any other readers had fun on Halloween then shoot us some photos.

LEGO BATMAN Playset # 7888 Tumbler Batmobile & Joker Van

These pictures are just a quick overview of a brand-new Lego Batman Play Set called "The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise" #7888. It features the new Tumbler Batmobile & a very cool looking Joker Van. It also comes with 3 figures: Batman, The Joker, & one of Joker's Goons. Looks like it also has approx. 11 various weapons for the characters to use.The attention to detail is awesome! I really love these toys & later this year they plan to release the new LEGO BATMAN video game. I might have to get this as a gift for one of my nephews at Christmas, it's crazy!

The New DARK KNIGHT Batman Movie Trailer Premiered at the NYCC 2008 Last Weekend!

OK, The big buzz is that at the New York Comic Con ( NYCC 2008 ) yesterday Paul Levitz, the President of DC Comics, very secretly premiered the latest DARK KNIGHT BATMAN MOVIE TRAILER!! I'm sure that it will be all over the net illegally ( hint: YouTube ) but I hope they ( DC Comics or Warner Brothers ) put it on the internet like they did the last one, in HD. There's also been some buzz lately with one of the Warner Bros viral-marketing sites where Jim Gordon makes an announcement to "look for something special" very soon...let's hope it's the new trailer. The reports I have read says it will kinda focus on Harvey Dent & Rachel Dawes a lot more than the Joker. Oh yeah, while I'm mentioning the NYCC they also gave out a few JOKER GOON MASKS to some lucky people. The picture up above is what some of them look like. There are more than these 2 but I was kinda lazy, ha ha. I'll have more soon once I find them.These should be flooded on eBay any day now, if not already, so if you want some get them soon! Me, I'm gonna wait till the scalpers have ripped everybody off & then swoop-in later & get them cheap.

Regular readers of the Bat-Blog know that I am totally goo-goo over the future release of Warner Bros' LEGO BATMAN The VIDEOGAME, ha ha! Well, here are some screen shot photos from the video game & they look aaaaawesome! The Lego figures of Batman, Robin, Scarecrow, & The Goons look great. This game will be coming out in Fall of 2008, probably around the time of The Dark Knight movie. Oh yeah, for people who just started to read this page here's the trailer for the game:
